It is extremely difficult to sit and watch and wonder, but our faith is strong and we know that God has a purpose for this and everything else that happens in our lives. Monday, January 23, 2012. MRI and PET/CT Reports Are Back. We were concerned that with the amount of neck pain dad was having, that it might have spread to his bones, but the PET/CT and MRI show no signs of cancer in the bones or brain. Maybe it doesn't seem like it should be, but we are counting this a victory.with nearly 3 months without chemo and the symptoms dad was having, we could have gotten a much worse report. Friday, April 20, 2012. It is 4:00am, Mom, Dad and Kevin are sound asleep; dad is resting comfortably and mom looks like she is. Dad is still not responding when we talk to him' he is sleeping almost all the time, and he only woke up twice yesterday and tried to get out of bed, both times. We tell him that he has had a lot of medicine and shouldn't get up, but he looks at us with his eyes. There is nothing like my father's wisdom. There is nothing like. My (Heavenly) Father's wisdom. Mom and Dad took me to Olive Garden to celebrate the 14th anniversary of my 29th birthday and we had a nice time.however, I can't fully enjoy eating when I know dad would love to be able to eat too.
