The Christophers

Thursday, January 15, 2015. Let's not talk about how I haven't posted on this blog since July. Sometimes, you think you know your kid. In this case, I do.and then.I don't. Emma still surprises me. I received an email from Emma's primary church leader. They spotlight one child each week and asked us to fill out a questionnaire. I proceeded to fill out the questionnaire with what I thought Emma's answers would be. After all, I AM her mother and I know EVERYTHING about my daughter. Right? I love my family b...

The Christophers: Independence Day - 4th of July Festivities

http://www.joelandjenchristopher.blogspot.com/2014/07/independent-day-4th-of-july-festivities.html

Saturday, July 5, 2014. Independence Day - 4th of July Festivities. To celebrate the declaration of independence for our nation and to be free. To do and be. We started the morning with a flag raising by our boy scouts. (Photos by Mitzi Aniel). We ate a tasty pancake breakfast at our church. We had a bike parade for the kiddos. Joel and I totally tricked out Emmy's ride. It was super fun. Off to the start. Starting line. Let's burn this candle. Emma's "Support Car" aka. Daddy and Buddy.

The Christophers: December 2013

http://www.joelandjenchristopher.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Saturday, December 21, 2013. Today was just one of those fun days. We had such a great time. First, Emma and I went to a friend's birthday party: morning at the park and city fire house. Once we got home, we unloaded the car, whisked Emma off to the bath, and got David a bottle. She said the prayer tonight. It was a prayer of thanks. Posted by Joel, Jennifer and Emma Christopher. The Christophers: January 2013

http://www.joelandjenchristopher.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Emma's Two Year Old Update. I can't believe how far she's come. It is truly a miracle. Emma - day of birth. Emma - one year old. Emma - two years old. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly:. Can say tons of new sounds and words like bus (she used to not be able to say the "s" at the end), eyebrow, and "copter" for helicopter. Whines a lot and gets frustrated (going through terrible twos). Throws tantrums in public - like Toys R Us every time. Bought her a Radio Flyer Wagon. Loves go...

The Bergendorf 's: November 2014

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Thursday, November 27, 2014. Jacob likes reorganizing Grandma's cupboards when we come to visit. Clarissa is 35 weeks pregnant and I'm 27 weeks. We decided to take a prego picture together while we were together since this will probably be the last time we are together before Clarissa has her baby. All in all we had a great Thanksgiving holiday with family! Thursday, November 13, 2014. Happy Birthday to ME! So I open my phone and look at the calender reminder and it says, "Happy Birthday! The road was pr...

The Bergendorf 's: July 2014

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 14, 2014. I was still feeling sick, but it was definitely manageable. Anyways back to the trip! We stayed at a RV Resort that Crystal's grandparents pretty much lived in the summer. It was way fun and relaxing. We got to go swimming everyday and play tennis (not really my cup of tea), mini golf and shuffle board. Jacob loves water and loved going swimming so much! My brother Scott had a Go-Pro with him and took some pretty awesome pictures with it. Look at that smile! The trip was a lot of f...

The Bergendorf 's: Jacob Turning 2

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2015/06/jacob-turning-2.html

Monday, June 1, 2015. I officially have a two year old! We celebrated Jacob's birthday today with family and friends. Thanks all that came! Jacob is way into tractors right now so we had a tractor themed birthday party. I think he loved it. Especially his cake. I, for the most part, let him try to do whatever he wants by himself and tells him if he wants help he can ask. I know he gets frustrated when he can't do something but practice makes perfect! It is so contagious! Jacob has been a great sleeper!

The Bergendorf 's: May 2015

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

Monday, May 4, 2015. Little Ida is 2 months old today! Ida hit her fist developmental jump around 5 weeks. She became much more aware of the world around her. She loves to intact with people and loves when they will sit and talk to her. She is pretty quick to smile if you are talking to her or playing pat-a-cake with her and I think I've almost gotten her to laugh! At 6 weeks we switched Ida from newborn clothes to 0-3 months. She hit Jacob's birth weight around 5 or 6 weeks which is crazy! Awesome Inc&#...

The Bergendorf 's: September 2014

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Tuesday, September 30, 2014. This is my 12 week to 18 week progression picture. As you can see I'm not much bigger. But have definitely rounded out a bit. September 30, 2014. Up 8 lbs. This really seems like a lot to me! 4 pounds in 2 weeks. Eek! Nope I can still lay on my stomach! I feel like just the past night or so I've had a hard time getting comfortable. Don't know if it's pregnancy related or I'm just going through a phase. No pain though! Wish she/he would do it more! Hurray for non throw up days!

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html

Friday, July 24, 2015. We took Jacob rock climbing for the first time with Scott and Crystal at the climbing gym in Driggs. I think I would say it was a success! He loved it and loved falling off the wall onto the pads. :) We are excited to start this new hobby with him. So cute in Dad's hat :). Now we need to get him his own harness! Saturday, July 18, 2015. Stopped for lunch in the meadow before continuing onto the lake. I apparently didn't get the memo to wear pink with the rest of the ladies. Can't g...

The Bergendorf 's: 4 Months

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2015/07/4-months.html

Saturday, July 4, 2015. Can't get over this cuteness! Happy 4th of July! It is fun to see Ida's personality come out more. She is definitely a very content, calm baby. She is completely fine sitting in your lap watching whatever is going on around her. Not a wiggler at all. She has decided that she likes being held but definitely not cuddled! She will smile at anyone and I will still often find her smiling while sitting alone playing with her toys. I love that! So far nursing is going well. I've kind...

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 20, 2015. I can't believe I only have 6 weeks left. I was worried that these past couple months would drag on so slow. But with how much I've been working it's really making them go by super fast! But we are ready for Baby Girl when she comes. I've finished getting the crib all ready and have gotten all her clothes organized and ready to go. So all we need now is a baby! 12 week to 34 week belly progression. January 20, 2015. At my 34 week appointment my midwife commented that she thinks...

The Bergendorf 's: August 2014

http://scottnjacs.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Saturday, August 2, 2014. I mean over the top amazing. In all the 30 miles we walked in 3 days and all the time he spent in the backpack carrier he fussed, on the first day, for the first couple miles and that was it. I know that the Lord was blessing him as He also did the pioneers of old. We started our handcart journey at Martin's Cove. It was our shortest day of 4 miles and we got poured on. Everyone was completely soaked! How he slept the night before? Did I mention he also slept GREAT every night!

Joel, Jen, Ava & Alaina

Joel, Jen, Ava and Alaina. Sunday, December 16, 2012. Having two kids has made any sort of free time that I use to have to blog, clean, craft or whatever, pretty much non-existent. But we have been able to cross off a few things on the Anderson Christmas Bucket List. We also made gingerbread men and decorated them. Ava was so happy to put candy on them, and even more excited to eat the candy off the cookies. (There were a few cookies with candy licked off and the cookie left to sit on the plate! This is ...

Our Biggs Family

Saturday, July 11, 2015. When we got to Evanston we decided to get another tire from Walmart and put a fresh one on the other side as well. Sammy and Thomas helped Joel with that while I took the others to McDonalds. There was a play place and they were impressed that the chairs were saddles! Then we were back on our way and so excited to be at Alanna's! As we got into Utah the kids were amazed at all the mountains and rocky bluffs. Josh, Gideon, and Sam kept saying, "Oh, I'd love to climb that one!

The Cozy Cottage

Tuesday, January 10, 2017. I thought it was safe to let the girls use markers inside a box. Monday, January 9, 2017. Lydia surprised me with a drawing of her daddy today. She told me it was so I could remember him while he is at work. She wanted me to carry it around with me as I went from room to room so I wouldn't forget about him. :). She then did a portrait of me. I was instructed to sit very still so she could get it just right. :). Friday, January 6, 2017. Monday, January 2, 2017. And after all our...

Notice the size of the toys and keep in mind our ever shrinking house. Time to move! The kids enjoy picking out funny "joke" gifts for me (remember the birthday whoopie cushion? Sunday, October 04, 2015. And suddenly, Fall is here. The air is crisp and cool in the mornings and evenings, pumpkins dot porches as we drive down our road, our book basket is full of Autumn tales, scarecrows and apples and pumpkins galore.
