Joe MacGown's Running Blog. Injury Prevention and Treatment. HOW TO RUN LIKE A BEAST. How do you run like a crazy beast and not hurt yourself? 2 Relax when you run. Sounds simple. It is. 4 Breath. Its not hard. Really. Don’t freak out about it. Ideally, learn to breathe deeply in and out through the mouth. When you exhale, your abdomen should sink in, and when you inhale, your abdomen should fill up. This is a relaxing way to breathe when you get used to it. 8 Eat good stuff. 9 Drink plenty of water.

Artist Statement and Bio. Saturday, April 21, 2012. Here are a few sketches of some of the "homes". Viewers will be able to interact with the works by getting up under and in some of the homes to read statistics about the current housing crisis. I will be fabricating the works myself at the USM sculpture studios over the 2012 summer. One of the fabrication layouts for the larger of the "homes". The College of Arts and Letters. Joe MacGown's Running Blog. Injury Prevention and Treatment. Injury Prevention and Treatment. I am not a doctor, coach or running guru, but rather, just some dude who has been running for 40 years. I have coached some high school runners at times, but not currently. Anything written here is my personal opinion based on my life, observations and interactions with other runners, and things I have read about that I agree with. 5 Almost all injuries I have had were due to a combination of doing something too...

Jen Torres Sculpture: Hollow Forms
http://jentorressculpture.blogspot.com/2013/09/hollow-forms.html
Artist Statement and Bio. Saturday, September 21, 2013. Worked all summer on the daily composition series. Soon enough they became multi-day compositions as I inevitably began to do more designing and started to enlarge the parts. Enlarging required laminating multiple pieces of plywood and that takes extra work. My goal was still to maintain a freshness that came along with not really knowing where they were going until I got there. If your a creative maker you'll know what I mean. I winged it with the ...

Jen Torres Sculpture: Hungry Art
http://jentorressculpture.blogspot.com/2014/01/hungry-art.html
Artist Statement and Bio. Sunday, January 26, 2014. As a working artist, teaching. Making art, it is true that many times one must make a choice as to what is most important. As you can imagine this part of the process takes ...
