The Skeptic: PERSEPOLIS
http://willieelmonosblog.blogspot.com/2008/10/persepolis.html
Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Why do we enjoy focusing on others peoples strife? Why focus so much on the problem, or worse yet the symptoms? OK, I know this isn't what was asked for but c'est le vie. I don't know what my answer would be! I guess a little bit of both. very good point! October 29, 2008 at 5:50 AM. In this clas...

The Skeptic: Thesis??

Monday, November 3, 2008. In many of the texts read this semester, the idea of overcoming ones inner struggles of dealing with a world which places high demand on who we should be is prevalent. Looking at these texts in the context of Emerson's. 8220;self reliance” and the Transcendental. Movement can change the way we interact with the world and improve our relationships with it. Or something along those lines. Traditional paper, of course. There is a lot of good info to work with. Good luck :). Well, s...

Monday, December 1, 2008. As far as graphic novels, I honestly didn't know they existed until now. I knew of comic books but I didn't know there were novels that were all in pictures. While I do enjoy them and they are a very quick read, I still have to say I prefer to read regular novels because I like to use my imagination as far as what the characters and settings look like. Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Absolve you to yourself, and you shall have the suffrage of the world.- Emerson. I think this quote from Emerson relates to American Born Chinese through the monkey king. The monkey king singled himself out from the gods, the other monkeys, and who he really was. He tried so hard to become something he wasnt. In the end, his creator punished him and he was stuck under a rock for hundreds of years. If that isnt suffrage, i dont know what is.
