Jen & Matt's Jogle blog 2011

Jen and Matt's Jogle blog 2011. Day 14, St Newlyn East – Lands End. May 25, 2011. So, that’s it. 1052 miles, from end to end. We did it… and it was bloody tough at times. But hey, we weren’t being sponsored to have a two-week holiday. That said, it’s been a brilliant experience and reminded me just how much I love this country. I now have a list of places I want to go back and visit properly. For those of you who said you would pay up once I’d completed the challenge, now’s your chance! One Tired Jen x.

It is now 11 days since we finished, so time to look back and sum up what we achieved, what we could have done better, what worked, what didn’t (for us). I think there are 3 main ways of doing the JOGLE/LEJOG:. Probably not one I’d ever have the inclination to do! Unless someone asked me! JOGLE - a fool on a bike

JOGLE - a fool on a bike. As part of my ongoing mid life crisis I decided to cycle from johnO'Groats to Lands End. On the whole this was a bloody stupid idea. Sunday, July 03, 2005. I mean, I own a map. What more do you need? Yes, Yes, hindsight is a wonderful thing. But off I went with just a tub of Vaseline and a 1989 road atlas. How bad could it be. Well, Bad. I've reproduced the postcards home below. So if you're a sadist, enjoy. Posted by Old Man Rich at 10:13 AM. 1 Thurso - John O'Groats (22 miles).
