The Smiley Milers JOGLE: July 2008

http://smileymilers.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

Thursday, 31 July 2008. Day 11 - Stairway to Devon and a 1976 cod found. We were going to stop after 20 miles for breakfast, however there wasn’t really anywhere to stop, so we decided to eat what we had on us and continue on to the first real stop at the 35 mile stage. The weather at this stage was that fine rain. the kind of rain that soaks you through! This went down very well, just before another big and long climb which we didn’t mind as it was steady and powered by the chocolate. The support guys t...

http://smileymilers.blogspot.com/2008/08/day-12-best-shower-we-have-had.html

Friday, 1 August 2008. Day 12 - The best shower we have had! Firstly I must apologise for the delay in updating the blog over the last few days. My excuse is that where we have been staying each night has not had the connection for me to update. I can honestly say it is nothing to do with the fact that my alcohol intake has increased each day and that a very fine Cornish beer called "DOOM" something or other has taken over my life! 1 See the spray from the car. Once again a great achievement lads and las...

"End to End" 2008

End to End" 2008. A look back on the Toby Mitchell / Craig Hudson John O'Groats to Lands End bike ride of September 2008. -An unsupported ride in aid of the CLIC Sargent children's cancer charity and the National Autistic Society. Since Craig and I first went public with our intention to do this, people have asked about our thinking, our motivation- especially so when they discover it was my idea, and not one dreamt up by the marathon running, serial fund-raiser I so carefully selected as my wingman.

Ride Across Britain 2010 | 1,008 Miles, 9 Days…

Ride Across Britain 2010. 1,008 Miles, 9 Days…. Posted by: Jason Norris. April 3, 2010. 70 days to go…. I’ve been pretty lucky so far, in that while out training, despite the potholes I’ve managed to keep my tyres intact. Until today. It was only supposed to be a sprint run today, a quick 20 miles, but eight miles in I hit a hole in the road. Thought nothing of it at the time, let’s face it, there are quite a few around at the minute and I’ve been through a few! Deflated. but not out. April 2, 2010.

Jen and Matt's Jogle blog 2011. Day 14, St Newlyn East – Lands End. May 25, 2011. So, that’s it. 1052 miles, from end to end. We did it… and it was bloody tough at times. But hey, we weren’t being sponsored to have a two-week holiday. That said, it’s been a brilliant experience and reminded me just how much I love this country. I now have a list of places I want to go back and visit properly. For those of you who said you would pay up once I’d completed the challenge, now’s your chance! One Tired Jen x.
