John Bagnell: August 2009
http://johnbagnell.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 5, 2009. How to fix a Nikon D70s (or a D70? Lots of people find this article when trying to fix a stuck mirror on a D70. Chris Inch. Reports that his D70 mirror would stay up after making an exposure normally. Another shutter button press was needed to return the mirror to the down position. He fixed this problem by using a different battery. If this is the problem you're having, give that a try. Don't do this. I mean it. If you do it, I'm not responsible for what happens. For environme...

Monday, July 19, 2010. Well it worked, but fortunately not before I got to see Rush. Click images for larger size). I was also lucky enough to see Hannah Georgas. Whom I'd never seen before and had only heard a few songs on CBC Radio. She was fantastic. (I checked with Bluesfest staff before photographing Hannah's show, and they said it was OK.). Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Not Just) Another Concert - BC Scene. If you find yourself heading to see a show with Vancouver-based Black Mountain, my advice is this: Be prepared. They're going to knock your socks off. I didn't know what to expect when I got invited by CBC Radio 3 to photograph a BC Scene show here in Ottawa on Friday night which featured three bands: The Pack A.D. You can see more pics and listen to the concert online at the Radio3 website. The full gallery is on Flickr. The Pack A.D. There ...

In the Aeroplane over the capital. October 16th, 2011. I have a love/hate relationship with Ottawa’s Bronson Centre; they get such terrific music acts coming through and the seats are cushy… but I don’t think I’ve ever heard mushier acoustics. Counter that with my unabashed appreciation of Dan Mangan you might have noticed it in some of my past posts about him. Dan’s cover of Neutral Milk Hotel’s “In the Aeroplane Over the Sea”:. And best to do it somewhere with good sound. Honeymoon punched by Jenn Grant.

How can we avoid this imbalance and achieve a real dialogue or a conversational framework? Opportunities for dialogue occur as students interact. The tutor could sho...
