John Goes to Everest. I will be trekking to Mount Everest Base Camp (18,000 feet) in March 2008. Monthly Archives: June 2008. Blenheim Triathlon – June 2008. June 26, 2008. As planned, I competed in the Blenheim Triathlon on June 7th 2008. It was a beautiful sunny day, in an amazing setting… all set for a great race! The course is quite a slow one (and the bike had one tough hill) so my time wasn’t amazing (1:38:33) but I had a great day and really enjoyed it! Blenheim Triathlon – June 2008.
Day 14 – Pheriche (4270m) to Khumjung (3780m) | John Goes to Everest

John Goes to Everest. I will be trekking to Mount Everest Base Camp (18,000 feet) in March 2008. Day 13 – Gorak Shep (5140m) to Kala Patthar (5550m) to Pheriche (4270m). Day 15 – Khumjung (3780m) to Monjo (2835m) →. Day 14 – Pheriche (4270m) to Khumjung (3780m). March 20, 2008. The monastery and whole Tengboche area looked completely and utterly different in the sunshine. It was amazing how much the weather changed in only a week! We spent the evening having a quiz in the tea house and generally relaxing.
