It's been a little since our last real post. For this we are sorry. Let us recap our past week and a half. Wed Feb. 8:. Beach a couple of blocks away. Where we collected shells. Crustaceans from the ocean, not to be confused with any other types of "little crabs". Fri Feb. 10:. Then sis-in-law Christina joined us for sunset. The big event of the...

JMNYC: January 2006
http://jmnyc.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 29, 2006. Bridges over the River East. We really didn't have much planned this weekend but to relax, hang out, and get to Target for a couple essentials. But Saturday we were handed one of the nicest days we have had since becoming New Yorkers, so we, in effect, took the long way to Target. After lunch at home, we ventured out onto the promenade and headed north up the banks of the river. And a few blocks north becomes the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Where there are spectacular views of the city.

http://jmnyc.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 16, 2006. This weekend wasn't too exciting. We stayed in a relaxed a lot. M was nice enough to let me watch all three Twins games over the weekend (they were playing the Yankees so it's the only time I get to see them on TV! Saturday I had baseball games again. It was a beautiful day. 75 and sunny. The games took up most of my day, but M had a nice day tooling around NY. She bought some clothes and did some shopping at the Farmer's Market in Union Square. JMNYC: December 2005
http://jmnyc.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 29, 2005. One of the things we quickly discovered back in September, was that the blinds that were left in the apartment had to go. They were filthy. And cleaning them was a pain in the.well. Therefore, since Sept. we have been blind-less. But since my parents visit in Nov., not a conversation has gone by with them in which they haven't asked "did you get new blinds yet? So, I am happy to say, that with a Target gift card received for Christmas, we purchased.lots of candy bars. Holiday...

JMNYC: October 2005
http://jmnyc.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 30, 2005. Sorry for the lack of posts this week. Some long commutes and early work times gave us little time to take any fun pictures or do anything other than cooking dinner and resting. So where to start on the week? Although M remarked that I did seem a bit homesick as my friends Jasper and Kim were hosting a big Halloween party at their new house in Fargo that I would have loved to attend. But of course I just buy new ones when the old tire out (but I do save them! These windows face ...

Monday, September 12, 2005. I am here. I am safe. I am tired. My favorite site to see so far.the rough and tough gang banger kids walking down the streets of Brooklyn.drinking a venti mint frappucinno from Star Bucks. I would have taken a picture, but I was too afraid they'd douce me in espresso and leave me for dead. This is a great site for anyone who's interested:. Http:/ www.overheardinnewyork.com/. Monday, March 27, 2006. JMNYC in the DC. M has been sick for the last week, and we've been laying pretty low trying to get her recovered. We've been doing that.and watching my beard grow (check back soon for a post that expands on this subject). We visited the Capitol rotunda. Statue room, the house gallery, and then ended our trip outside looking out over the mall. Before leaving we were put to work in Congressman Pomeroy's office stuffing envelopes with the daily letters out to constituents. We were so...

JMNYC: November 2005
http://jmnyc.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 25, 2005. Happy Thanksgiving to all of our friends and family. We missed you all during this holiday weekend. We had considered going up to Boston where my brother Aaron and his wife Caroline live. We just decided with work and travel schedules that we'd save our travel time for a different time.perhaps Christmas. So we planned to stay in NY, go the Thanksgiving Day Parade and cook ourselves a Thanksgiving dinner. Hey, we've got two extra tickets," he said, "do you want them? We spoke to...
