John Orluk lute blog. Saturday, January 29, 2011. Valéry Sauvage plays Dowland: The shoemaker's wife. Ok, today I want to introduce you to Valéry Sauvage playing Dowland's Shoemaker's wife. Over 500 - that means he actually too the time to learn and play, almost always very musically and with very few mistakes, all of these pieces. I really think it's incredible. Posted by John Orluk. Thursday, January 27, 2011. North plays Dowland: Solus cum Sola. I think a good place to start is some of the best:.

John Orluk lute blog. Friday, February 25, 2011. Hopkinson Smith plays Vieux Gaultier: La Cascade. I think you'll be able to hear what I mean. The playing is very precise but at the same time very free sounding. The ornaments sound as though they were all well planned and practiced yet also easy and spontaneous. Unfortunately this recording is just an audio recording with a photo slide show so you can't see him actually playing here. Posted by John Orluk. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
