US Navy Seabee in Afghanistan supporting Enduring Freedom. BACK IN THE USA! Several days away from a computer that would allow access to blog.but anyway. Home in a few days. It's hard to believe this journey is coming to an end. The real indicator is how my incoming emails are now changing. Initially when I left it was proud.prayers.and "keep your head down". Now my emails are political stuff from home, stuff from my work, and what needs to be done at home when I return. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

US Navy Seabee in Afghanistan supporting Enduring Freedom. Missed my soon to be 8 year old daughters birtday party last night. Wendy sent pictures but sure wish I was there. We are making great progress on various projects on our mission here in Afghanistan. I'm proud to be a part of the Seabees and the work they do. It's amazing what can be done in a few days and then off to another mission. I'm looking forward to heading back to Corinth soon. Just finished voting in the 2007 Alcorn. Brush teeth, shower.

Sandbox Sailor: August 2007

US Navy Seabee in Afghanistan supporting Enduring Freedom. I had the honor of attending a service for a fellow soldier who lost his life serving his country. The service was a reminder of the cost of war. To attend the service for this young soldier was quite emotional. Pray often. I've been running since I've been out here and the past few weeks my left knee has been acting up. After a day or so it's back to normal but it happens every time. I run so I went and visited the Doctor.

US Navy Seabee in Afghanistan supporting Enduring Freedom. After 5 months, we have finally hit the less than 100 days to go. Today marks 99 days left. Woo Hoo! Our work is going well at our current location and I'm sure we'll be moving again the coming weeks. They found a Krait snake here the other day. Apparently one of the most deadly snakes there is. At night it's pitch dark here, and I mean pitch dark. No lights what-so-ever. Walking to the latrine is fun, hoping you don't step on one. So it was a ra...

Sandbox Sailor: Oh Canada
http://votechipwood.blogspot.com/2007/08/oh-canada.html
US Navy Seabee in Afghanistan supporting Enduring Freedom. When are you coming home? Seems like you've been gone forever. You gotta get back soon or else those other rogue alderman will begin outlawing chihuahuas or something. First they came for the pitbulls, and I said nothing. Then they came for the rottweilers, and I said nothing. Then they came for the german shepherds, and I said nothing.Well, you get my point. Stay safe, and leave a little southern charm in the sandbox! August 19, 2007 at 12:28 PM.

Sandbox Sailor: Election 2007
http://votechipwood.blogspot.com/2007/07/election-2007.html
US Navy Seabee in Afghanistan supporting Enduring Freedom. Just finished voting in the 2007 Alcorn. County Election via absentee. I read on www.DailyCorinthian.com. That the turnout appears to be large. Great! Being here in Afghanistan away from the happenings of the City of Corinth has been difficult to say the least. I get emails from the Alderman and they have been good at keeping me up-to-date. In place. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. I do have access to the Internet.

US Navy Seabee in Afghanistan supporting Enduring Freedom. Well the not so secret is soon to be offically out. Former TN Senator/TV and movie star Fred Thompson is announcing his run for the presidency. For those of you who want a true conservative but scared of the fact Gov Mitt Romney is a Mormon, well now you have your man. So, the perfect ticket as of today. Romney/Thompson or I'd be satisfied with Thompson/Romney. Well I'm glad to say this week, we passed our 1/2 way point of our mobilization. Needl...

US Navy Seabee in Afghanistan supporting Enduring Freedom. I've been running since I've been out here and the past few weeks my left knee has been acting up. After a day or so it's back to normal but it happens every time. I run so I went and visited the Doctor. After examining my knee and making me do all kinds of bends etc, she said "It looks like a serious case of turning 40 to me". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Draft Sarah Palin For VP.
