Johnson's Journal Jotter: West or Bust Day 15
http://johnsonjj.blogspot.com/2015/06/west-or-bust-day-15.html
Updates for family and friends. Saturday, June 20, 2015. West or Bust Day 15. Monday, June 15. Mt Whitney (highest peak in the lower 48? Well, if this ain't a little off the track, eh?

Honestly I can't tell you where the last 6 months got to - can't believe I haven't had ANYthing to say for 6 months? Something is wrong here. Anyhoo, we've done it again and have taken another trip out west. So we'll start with day one again. Our first picnic lunch. We had unexpected company. They politely declined our food in favor of their own. Such brilliant green almost blinded us. What a cute house!

sBlog: Tales of the feet
http://blog.stephen-johnson.net/2007/10/tales-of-feet.html
Aka Blog of s. Monday, October 1, 2007. Tales of the feet. The dog ate my shoes. Really, and I don't have anything to wear on my feet! Funny how some peoples pets can do no wrong. I've heard it before. "He's just playing. He won't bite.", "She's an indoor cat. She won't catch birds." Uh, what's that red hanging out of her mouth? Looks like a Cardinal to me. And finally. "You can leave the shoes there. She won't chew on them.". May I present exhibit #1:. Blundstone or "blunnies" are . . . Wait! View my co...
sBlog: Six months of gardening
http://blog.stephen-johnson.net/2007/10/six-months-of-gardening.html
Aka Blog of s. Tuesday, October 2, 2007. Six months of gardening. It's hard to believe that it has been more than six months since our garden spot was tilled into fluffy powder. L began planning early in the year. Late March, during a warm dry spell the deed was done. Plants and seeds went into the soil in short order only to be frozen soon after in an unusually late freeze. L, with the help of C spent tireless hours keeping the weeds under control and watering the fledgling plants. Makes me want to get ...

http://reluctantfarmchik.com/the-attack-of-the-dead-rooster
The Attack of the Dead Rooster. There once was a happy family of chickens. Among those chickens there were two beautiful roosters. One of the roosters was mild-mannered and happy. The other one was . . . well – he wasn’t mild-mannered. Or happy. He thought he was the boss-rooster and did his best to make his dominance known. The hens suffered much under his authority. Despite this scuffle, the rooster survived, albeit with a reduced ego. But one day, very recently (yesterday), this rooster made a. Didn&#...

Is it Gray, or is it just Winter? We’ve been lucky with fairly mild weather so far. But now it seems to be turning colder. Cold and wet are like friends who egg each other on to be a bit more extreme. One by itself is ok. Both together — they go way further than they’d independently dare. And with the sun not being as high in the sky . . . it’s as if the supervisor has turned their back so that Cold and Wet can be even bolder. It makes for a bit of melancholy. I’ve been dying to stamp. A new catalog was unveiled in January, but I didn’t order anything till March, which shows amazing restraint on my part (even if I have to say so myself! I din’t end up giving her this card because I got annoyed by the fact that the candles didn’t hide (I put 13 candles on the cake). There are several things I could have don...We did other birt...
