Fortress Whiteley

Tuesday, 31 March 2009. Last week I was sick and spent most of the week in bed with Flu. So this week I have to pull my finger out and get moving. I have been given the task of managing the QA systems. I started by looking up case studies on previous Olympics to see what the problems were so that we could ensure that our course meets the needs of future Olympic event managers. This weeks meeting was productive too. We have agreed on the assessment strategy. Tuesday, 17 March 2009. Tuesday, 10 March 2009.

Fortress Whiteley: February 2009

http://www.johnspgcertblog.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 25 February 2009. As I discussed with you all I am not happy about using the blog as I am an intensely private person who guards my thoughts etc. However, also as discussed, I have no option but to do this so it will be the minimum required. I will use it to pass my findings from research. Yesterdays meeting was helpful and I hope we will be able to complete all of the tasks on-time. See you all next week. Saturday, 14 February 2009. I think I prefer to meet over a coffee or something!

Fortress Whiteley: starting

http://www.johnspgcertblog.blogspot.com/2009/02/starting.html

Saturday, 14 February 2009. Wow This is really difficult for an old fart like me to get the hang of. It may be useful but I would like it to be more user friendly. I may have to get my students to teach me how to teach them how to use it. I think I prefer to meet over a coffee or something! 16 February 2009 at 16:07. Well done John for getting it done and overcoming any concerns re the technology - students can make excellent teachers - just ask! 18 February 2009 at 17:10. View my complete profile.

Our fab course: a hybrid approach?

http://ourfabcourse.blogspot.com/2009/03/hybrid-approach.html

Course design and evaluation group blog. Thursday, 12 March 2009. Now that we formed wonderful learning outcomes, for our teaching strategies there is a suggestion for a 'hybrid approach' (combining virtual and class based learning - please see Walker and Arnold (2004). That will give us the option to support our student target group (professionals) and link it to the overall management development trend of the 'reflective practitioner' (Schon ). Our fab course: IOC Debriefing transfers knowledge from Beijing to London

http://ourfabcourse.blogspot.com/2009/02/ioc-debriefing-transfers-knowledge-from.html

Course design and evaluation group blog. Wednesday, 18 February 2009. IOC Debriefing transfers knowledge from Beijing to London. I thought looking at the debriefing from Beijing to London might give some insight into areas that need more focus for management of large-scale sporting events or 'mega-events' as I saw them described somewhere. Lots of sites seem to have the same information copied from the IOC debriefing page. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Greenwich: Legacy for 2012.
