Developing a risk management framework for sporting events. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Greenwich: Legacy for 2012. Pleasure and leisure quote. Our fab course: today's meeting
http://ourfabcourse.blogspot.com/2009/04/todays-meeting.html
Course design and evaluation group blog. Tuesday, 28 April 2009. We discussed the feedback we need to give to other courses. Also the assignment. For summative 2 we have been given 9 questions to consider but warned that we cannot go indepth for all in 1500 words. We discussed that we probably need to adress all of them briefly and then expand on 3-4. Material and timeschedules are uploaded on google docs. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Greenwich: Legacy for 2012. Pleasure and leisure quote.

Our fab course: Olympic Legacy
http://ourfabcourse.blogspot.com/2009/03/olympic-legacy.html
Course design and evaluation group blog. Tuesday, 3 March 2009. There is a PowerPoint presentation on scribd.com by Christophe Dubi of the IOC on Olympic Legacy. The note pages show more infomation than the slides. I was trying to use this presentationas a test presentaion with google docs but it was losing the extra notes. So I'm still working on it. I read somewhere else (sorry can't remember the reference, but don't think it's needed) that there is a Bristish Standard 8901. Greenwich: Legacy for 2012.
Our fab course: Interview that supports market relevance of programme
http://ourfabcourse.blogspot.com/2009/03/interview-with.html
Course design and evaluation group blog. Tuesday, 3 March 2009. Interview that supports market relevance of programme. Good article in the Times. On Monday with the Chief Excecutive of the Olympic organising committe for the London Games (Locog). Paul Deighton is an ex-banker from Goldman Sachs so he clearly has good foresight as the article highlights in getting out of banking several years ago. Relevant material for market applicability of our course. Posted by Mark Phillimore. Sport as cultural event.

Yvonne's 1183: Weekly group coffee, ahum, meeting
http://yvonnes1183.blogspot.com/2009/03/weekly-group-coffee-ahum-meeting.html
Course Design and Evaluation. Thursday, 26 March 2009. Weekly group coffee, ahum, meeting. Lena and I have agreed that we like our weekly group meetings. They are fun! We are having fun! It could be because we meet in the Queen Mary coffee place and have coffee! My conclusion is that the group work we do with the blog and Google Groups works well, but I think without the face-to-face meets as well it would be harder to make that connection between the electronic word (aka read between the lines).
Yvonne's 1183: Talking course design
http://yvonnes1183.blogspot.com/2009/04/this-week-i-uploaded-to-teams-google.html
Course Design and Evaluation. Thursday, 2 April 2009. This week I uploaded to the teams google groups area my first pass at the course content for. This is based on a couple of references I have found. I'm looking forward to some iterations from the other members of the team. We had another productive meeting this week where we looked at assessment strategies and the learning outcomes. It is generally agreed that many of the areas are related and affect each other. Programme reflections: Online tools for the group
http://programmereflections.blogspot.com/2009/05/online-tools-for-group.html
Wednesday, 27 May 2009. Online tools for the group. As aspect of the group which is worth exploring is the use of online tools. As well as our personal blogs we have used two collaborative environments - a collaborative blog called Our Fab Course. And also Google Groups which provides a private noticeboard type space for notes and files. Both of these have played a key role in the development and completion of the project. But why? Having two online resources was a feature which gave the group great flex...
Yvonne's 1183: Team success
http://yvonnes1183.blogspot.com/2009/03/team-success.html
Course Design and Evaluation. Friday, 27 March 2009. With the deadline ahead of us for uploading our course design I've taken to a bit of NLP or simple visioning (without the collage). I'm looking ahead to a successful team! Quite apt really, in terms of team/group success and then sporting success. The course design we are considering looks at the management of successful sporting events. As part of my course design content task I have been looking at references for successful sporting event management.

Picking up on this line of thinking is learning inherently a group activity not a singular one. Or is it a different sort of learning? Posted by Mark Phillimore. Yvonne's 1183: Pat's blogging email
http://yvonnes1183.blogspot.com/2009/04/pats-blogging-email.html
Course Design and Evaluation. Wednesday, 15 April 2009. I'm including Pat's email about the blogs and the formative reflective course design task. Before studying each point in detail (and reflecting), I feel I have reflected on the course development process using my blog - it means something to me anyway. I will look critically at the points identified and answer them in the near future but at present I am too busy firefighting. How did you decide to become a group? How are decisions made in your group?
Yvonne's 1183: April 2009
http://yvonnes1183.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Course Design and Evaluation. Wednesday, 22 April 2009. The meeting yesterday went well, I think. It was fun, entertaining, everything a meeting should be and we got some work done. Today we submitted our final course/programme design document. Phew! I would relax for a while but I've got a tonne (ok exaggeration) of assignments to mark and a lecture to prepare . Monday, 20 April 2009. My Overall Reflection for the PGCert is:. But that was before I had four children :-). We could also have considered Mye...
Yvonne's 1183: Post-Easter meeting
http://yvonnes1183.blogspot.com/2009/04/post-easter-meeting.html
Course Design and Evaluation. Tuesday, 14 April 2009. Had our usual group meeting today. It does feel as though we are on the downward slope in terms of the course design for our group course. [. A nice skiing picture for John :-). We have each looked at our individual components as identified in a previous meeting and now we are busy trying to upload, modify and bring together. Ahh, back to my numbers:- 10, 53, 47, . Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The OFFICIAL Dilbert Widget. My family in snow.

Our ΔF508 Life. Our family, living with CF. July 14, 2014. So You’ve Found Out Your Unborn Baby Has Cystic Fibrosis. Or that you and your partner both carry the cystic fibrosis gene (or I should say one of the many genes that can cause CF). I’ve thought a lot about this problem since Alma was born. What does it mean to know that your child will, or that your child might, have cystic fibrosis? It’s something that sometimes gets framed as an “ impossible choice. So What can I contribute instead. Ok What I ...

Thursday, May 5, 2011. She also had a party in Logan with Anthony and Shanel's family. She is a little spoiled, but we love this Girl! So I missed a few important things in 2010. After debating whether to go back and cover it all or to just start from now, my lazy side won and I have decided to start fresh.again! Saturday, February 5, 2011. Here is our new house! Our Fab Finds
Saturday, March 17. Every week, I have the intention of making a menu plan not only so that I can grocery shop ahead of time, but so when I get home exhausted from work, I have a list to go to of what I'm making that day! Well, today, I was feeling kind of cruddy (another cold) so I laid in bed looking at recipes on Pinterest. Somehow, this gave me the motivation I needed to create my list! Here are the recipes for this week with links included in case you're interested in making them! But in a crock pot.
