Polyphasic Sleep Log: Day 14, 15

Polyphasic Sleep Log: Day 14, 15. Saturday, July 26, 2008. Http:/ www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gif. I just got back from China. Today was an absolutely gorgeous Northern California day. I only saw clear sunny blue skies in China a handful of times in 6 weeks which made today's clear blue skies even more enjoyable. I have a few new polyphasic-related thoughts. I would also like to share some experiences that are related to my trip back home. Say Goodbye to Jet Lag and Being a Grumpy Traveler. Now that I am...

Polyphasic Sleep Log: Day 12-13

http://johnwilliford-polyphasic-day12-13.blogspot.com/2008/07/i-have-few-updates-and-minor-changes-to.html

Polyphasic Sleep Log: Day 12-13. Thursday, July 24, 2008. I have a few updates and minor changes to go over. Steve Pavlina started tweaking the rigid napping schedule after about two weeks as well. He found that the naps were more efficient and restorative if he took them when his body felt tired as opposed to at set times each day. Coming Home and Getting Serious. Furthermore and on a more relevant note, I strongly believe that my return home will bode very well for my Polyphasic Sleeping. For the p...

Polyphasic Sleep: Polyphasic Sleep

http://johnwilliford-polyphasic.blogspot.com/2008/07/polyphasic-sleep.html

Monday, July 14, 2008. Describes a category of sleeping strategies aimed at sleeping more often for a shorter cumulative period of time. Two popular polyphasic methods are the Uberman Sleeping Schedule and the Dymaxion Sleeping Schedule. The Uberman Sleeping Schedule consists of 6 naps every 24 hour period with each nap around 20 minutes long. The Dymaxion Sleeping Schedule consists of 4 naps each "day" with each nap lasting around 30 minutes. See How Dymaxion Sleep Worked For Me. View my complete profile.

Everyman Sleep

Wednesday, August 27, 2008. I tried Uberman for just over two weeks, but unfortunately it just wasn't practical at home. I decided to heed Pure Doxyk's advice from her book Ubersleep. She recommends sleeping monophasically for at least a few weeks between ending one polyphasic sleeping regimen and starting another. I have slept monophasically for the last 30 days, and I have been averaging about 8 hours per night. VIEW MY EVERYMAN SCHEDULE. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

What circumstances and situations influence our brain's ability to think clearly and recognize our true wishes and desires? The Last Minute Phenomeon is a specific facet of the myriad psychological situations in which the brain makes a decision under duress. Dymaxion Sleep Log: Day 1

Dymaxion Sleep Log: Day 1. Monday, July 14, 2008. I felt reasonably energized and rested throughout the day. I have read numerous accounts of how difficult it has been for some people to transition to Polyphasic Sleeping. Some have tried to avoid exercise for the first week or so. Despite this caveat, the weather today was so nice that I just had to work out. I was curious to see how my body would respond. I have read other Dymaxion Sleepers say that oversleeping can result in extreme disorientation and ...

Polyphasic Sleep Log: Day 10, 11

Polyphasic Sleep Log: Day 10, 11. Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Today is Wednesday July 23, which means that I have been on either the Dymaxion Sleep Schedule or the Unberman Schedule since Saturday the 12. Therefore, my current location in the fourth dimension ("location" in time) is the beginning of the 12th day. I will reflect on the past two days (11th and 12th days). I would predominately like to focus on oversleeping and the polyphasic sleeper's task of quintessentially structuring the 22 hour waking day.

Dymaxion Sleep Log: Day 2

Dymaxion Sleep Log: Day 2. Monday, July 14, 2008. I haven now successfully completed my first weekend of Dymaxion Sleeping! I began on Friday night with a 30 minute nap at 12:30am instead of my usual 4 hours of sleeping at night. In stages 1-4 of a ordinary monophasic sleeping process, breathing slows and muscles becomes extraordinarily relaxed. While many argue that REM sleep (we can call REM sleep stage 5 sleep) is the most critical stage, the majority of monophasic sleeping session is spent in sta...

Dymaxion Sleep Log: Day 3

Dymaxion Sleep Log: Day 3. Monday, July 14, 2008. Today has been far and away the best day that I have had in the polyphasic transition period. I made it to my three naps with ease, and I plan to take my fourth nap in about half an hour. I overslept only on the 12:30pm nap by about 20 minutes. After my 6:30am and 6:30pm naps, I sprung into action right after my alarms. Other than this expected lull, I was very energetic and mentally active for the entire day. After slightly oversleeping the 12:30pm n...

Dymaxion Sleep Log: Day 4

Dymaxion Sleep Log: Day 4. Tuesday, July 15, 2008. Section. You can tart by reading about the relative sensations of time in polyphasic sleeping. But just to give a rundown of what I am feeling I feel that some stages seem as if they are considerably longer or shorter then others. One might think that the waking period that seems the longest would probably be the period in which it is hardest to stay awake, feel alert, and be productive. I will call this trend a length-productivity pattern. While I have ...

Polyphasic Sleep Log: Day 5

Polyphasic Sleep Log: Day 5. Wednesday, July 16, 2008. Last night I got really engaged in working on my blog. I decided to skip the first two hours of my four hour morning class because I wanted to wrap up the work that I had put into my blog from the night before and because I feared that I would fall asleep in class. When I woke up I was extremely frustrated and irritated. I tried to rant a bit to my friends about my obstacles with Dymaxion sleeping, but I didn't feel like I was thinking logically&...

Polyphasic Sleep Log: Day 6, 7

Polyphasic Sleep Log: Day 6, 7. Friday, July 18, 2008. Two consecutive nights of oversleeping would provoke the ire of most polyphasic sleepers, especially when they are in their adaption process. I was slightly disappointed in the oversleeping, but I do not think it will affect me much if at all. In fact, I consider periodic monophasic sleeping to be a potential addition to my complete polyphasic sleeping plan. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
