Defeat to illness in particular. I am battling my third case of upper respiratory since marathon training began. I have always battled my lungs in one form or another. Growing up asthmatic I was always in the hospital. I gave into the belief that I couldn't do what other kid's did, but no more. I will show you how great I am.

Moments when I get tired of thinking of absolutely everything that goes into my mouth, tired of seeing women that do nothing day to day and stay skinny. Tired of what seems like endless workouts and still can't drop those last few pounds! Those are the days that I feel like this. Alas, what good is that doing?

I missed running outside so much and the treadmill tends to weaken me physically and mentally. I am grateful for it when I need it but good grief what a difference air moving makes.
