I did hear that they had a great summer trip to Cannon Beach where they hiked, played in the sand and surf, beach combed and evenings spent around the fire with family. I am now their entertainer, their aggravator, their leftover eater, their foot warmer and their third wheel. They even took me to Arizona with them for Christmas! Links to this post. Tuesday, July 8, 2008. Happy 4th of July! Our July 4th weekend was very "Purcell Family" traditional. We had the WHOLE clan there which was so much fun. We had a BBQ, volley ball tournament, we ate at the Iona Lions Club breakfast, played tennis, rode the train, floated down Big Springs, went shooting and, of course, had an amazing firework show.
