The warm equatorial light of Africa intoxicates. Watching the sunset on the Serengeti plains and the Ngorongoro Crater, walking in the Olduvai gorge (a paleoanthropological site continuously occupied from about 2.1 million years ago until 15,000 years ago), all this with an escort of lions and elephants and hosted by Tanzanian hospitality, left me speechless. New Zealand is the type of place where around every turn landscapes hide that hold a unique and quiet drama as unassuming as it's locals generosity.
