Veronica's Journey: May 2012
http://veronicakatherine.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 26, 2012. No more synagis shots and the fear of RSV is all but eliminated. The only tangible reminder of Veronica's extreme prematurity is her bi-weekly visits from her physical therapist (who we absolutely love by the way.) Life is good. It really couldn't get much better than this. Since it's been so long since I last posted, here is a quick update on how Veronica is doing:. Just this week she learned to get herself up into a sitting position from lying down. Links to this post. Subscribe...

Veronica's Journey: April 12
http://veronicakatherine.blogspot.com/2013/04/april-12.html
Friday, April 12, 2013. Along with birthdays and anniversaries, April 12 will always be a significant date for me. April 12, 2011. When I woke in the middle of the night and felt fluid leaking, what if I had gone to the hospital then instead of changing and going back to sleep? Instead of waiting for my doctor's officer to call back, arranging for child care and taking a shower, what if I had left for the hospital immediately upon waking at 6:00 am when I began to feel contractions? April 18, 2011. 8 Ret...

http://veronicakatherine.blogspot.com/2012/03/cherry-blossoms.html
Tuesday, March 20, 2012. This morning, half the members of our family took a trip into D.C. to see the beautiful cherry blossoms which are in full bloom. Unfortunately, the other half of our family had to go to school and work (sorry guys! Sebastian - happy to get his photo taken. Josephine - no interest in getting her photo taken. Veronica's Journey: Pneumonia
http://veronicakatherine.blogspot.com/2013/03/pneumonia.html
Friday, March 22, 2013. The first six weeks of 2013 were filled with several unexpected doctor visits for our family, including one trip to urgent care and two visits to the emergency department. One of those visits resulted in Veronica being admitted to the hospital where she was diagnosed with pneumonia and remained for almost five days. In the pediatrician's office, where we stayed for about two hours. In the emergency room, where we stayed for about five hours. Veronica did NOT like it. After four da...

Veronica's Journey: The Birth Story
http://veronicakatherine.blogspot.com/p/the-birth-story.html
Having the baby, not today. After all, I was only 23 weeks pregnant. When I arrived at the hospital, I got out of the car and handed my car keys to the valet attendant. A moment after that, there was a gush of fluid and I knew immediately that my water had broken. As I walked into the hospital, crying and scared, a security guard smiled at me and excitedly said “It’s time? Go right on up! You can read my first post here. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). http://veronicakatherine.blogspot.com/2013/04/veronica-is-two.html
Thursday, April 18, 2013. It's hard to believe that it has been two years since the scariest day of my life. Part of me still feels like it was yesterday. I have so many mixed emotions about this day. I am sure there will be moments of reflection and probably some tears. But for the most part, this will be a day of celebration and of gratitude. Happy 2nd Birthday, Veronica! What an amazing little girl you continue to be! April 18, 2013 at 12:06 PM. April 19, 2013 at 12:17 AM. April 20, 2013 at 2:35 PM.
