Jason's Journey

My Thoughts on Life, Culture, and God. Sunday, October 18, 2009. One of the most disturbing things about this though is that there are others in my family that continues to see these trends as wholesome and ultimately beneficial to preaching the gospel. But, is this the trend that Paul spoke out against in many of his writings? Is this the very thing that is actually counterproductive to the gospel? It seems that “the goodness of God leads men to repentance”, not the condemnation of man. Posted by Jason ...

Jason's Journey: March 2009

http://www.journeyofjason.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

My Thoughts on Life, Culture, and God. Tuesday, March 24, 2009. Take, for example, what the writer of Hosea describes of the nation of Israel being called to repentance (or change) as to what their resolve is like:. They are very committed in their communication of what the goals are and how they will get there, but their passion, despite its collective strength, is shortly condemned either by God’s prophet or God himself:. 8220;What shall I do with you, O Ephraim? What shall I do with you, O Judah?

Jason's Journey: Wondering What to Do Next

http://www.journeyofjason.blogspot.com/2009/06/wondering-what-to-do-next.html

My Thoughts on Life, Culture, and God. Monday, June 08, 2009. Wondering What to Do Next. So, my questions predominately center around how to lead them in a way that will bring them happiness and bring their world good. This, in short, has to do with parenting and it is really hard, and I admit I do not have many if any answers. In fact, the older I get the more frustrating are those who talk as if they have mastered how to bring up their kids right. Posted by Jason # 2. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

My Thoughts on Life, Culture, and God. Saturday, June 13, 2009. Life with Arms Wide Open. 8221; It is a crescendo of sheer amazement that something that is a part of you (I mean this in more than just the sheer biology of the event) is now a part of someone else and they are in the world as the result of something beautiful that you and your marriage partner exulted in experiencing. Jason's Journey: April 2009

http://www.journeyofjason.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

My Thoughts on Life, Culture, and God. Wednesday, April 22, 2009. An Excerpt from Doug Pagitt. There is a great excerpt from Doug Pagitt’s new book, A Christianity Worth Believing, on Emergent Village’s website. It is a simple and yet profound article filled with New Creation jargon that will be familiar with many who are Emerging, but it really accentuates the significance of the story of Jesus as God’s way to clean up the mess of the world through us, His Body/Community. Enjoy! The excerpt is below:.

Jeremy's thoughts: August 2008

http://jedomeister.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Friday, August 1, 2008. I went to do some voice over work for John today. It went alright. I am by far not a professional but the experience I am gaining is great. I am very thankful to John for taking a chance on me. It is amazing how I fret over the smallest things and the faith I have that God has everything planned out waivers. Maybe one day I will get over it and totally D.O.G. ;). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Learning lessons the hard way. Conversations from The River.

Journey of Jane

Sunday, 6 July 2014. So it starts with a face mask and hopefully ends with a healthier, happier lifestyle. Fingers crossed! For lunch I asked the chef at work for a tuna mayo sandwich with some crisps-not amazing but better than the deep fried shit I normally inhale. It came with fries as there were no crisps, honestly even when I try dieting is against me, no not dieting, eating healthy(er). So of course I ate the fries, they were right there! But I only ate half my sandwich in compensation.

Jan's Journey

Friday, February 25, 2011. Okay, so I feel pretty silly writing a letter to you. I know you are living it up right now and this letter is really nothing. It's just that I've been missing you a ton lately. I just told a friend today that while life gets easier after losing a loved one, it's still hard and sad sometimes. I know a lot of my emotion is just from pregnancy hormones. I am 31ish weeks with another baby girl! What else, what else have I wanted to tell you. I learned how to sew! I've also been wr...

traveling mercies | from Kansas to Alabama with a banjo on my knee

From Kansas to Alabama with a banjo on my knee. The director explained more about the process refugees go through to get here. Did you know that only about 2% of refugees are resettled? By “resettled” I mean given a chance to have a new home in a new country.) Most of them spend their life in refugee camps or move on from there on their own. What a life. I can’t imagine. Stay tuned for more…. Only 2% of refugees get resettled. Comments : 1 Comment. The Power of Presence. In the moment. I already see ...

Earlier tonight I read an article (blog post) that a [younger] colleague shared on Facebook. It’s been bugging me. I decided to un-follow my colleague because she’s posted so many similar type of articles. Self-righteous, opinionated, and indifferent to other perspectives. What is tiring me about Facebook is how many people who it to passive aggressively get on their soapbox. The most ubiquitous recently is the Great Vaccine Debate. I have seen the posts from both sides on my news feed. I&#82...We see th...

living fully alive

Thursday, March 17, 2011. Many of us will wear green in honor of it. Many of us will eat and drink different things specially to celebrate it. But I wanted to share part of who St. Patrick was. The history of today's holiday was never that important to me. But one day recently, I came across the quote that was engraved on the front of St Patrick's breastplate. It was later turned into a hymn for the Irish church in the late 1800s, and oh, how powerful it is! So I started looking up a little bit about him.
