Sunday, April 27, 2014. Notes from Dad - April 27, 2014. Hope your week has been a great one! Kent and I started our training to hike Mt. Whitney by taking on Flatiron. A cold front moved in over the weekend, and the high temperatures dropped 20 degrees, from the mid-90s to the low 70s. Still, I couldn't convince myself to throw a jacket in my backpack (after all, it's nearly May - in Phoenix! We were home by around 11:15 am. In the 70s for a long time. Sunday, August 31, 2008. We have had a traumatic week this week. It all started early on Sunday morning. Amber was the first one up. She was up early and went downstairs to eat breakfast. The rest of us were mostly asleep still. She runs back up the stairs crying something has happened to Moonlight (Paige's gerbil). So we all quickly jumped out of bed.
