Paula's Tech Talk: Edu 610: A Reflective Piece
http://paulastechtalk.blogspot.com/2009/12/edu-610-reflective-piece.html
Thursday, December 10, 2009. Edu 610: A Reflective Piece. My last assignment for EDU 610 is to tell what I have learned in this class that will make me a more effective teacher, if I will make a conscious effort to integrate technology into my classroom and if I feel technology is important. Technology is not only important, I believe it is essential! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Final Reflective Blog on the Class. My last blog, for now! Edu 610: A Reflective Piece. val's useless news: Using Video
http://gotouselessnews.blogspot.com/2009/10/using-video.html
Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Video is definitely a powerful tool in the classroom. I think back to the classes I have already taken at Albright for my certification and think about how much better my lessons and units could have been if I had implemented more video and technology. I think of the unit that I just finished in social studies on the Holocaust. My Holocaust unit was geared toward 5. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Val's Diigo Social Bookmarking page. Ed Tech. Jocabed's Techno Stuff
http://jocabed0224.blogspot.com/2009/11/during-our-last-class-it-was.html
Monday, November 30, 2009. During our last class it was interesting to see different students' presentations. Throughout the presentations I noticed two things: 1) Teachers do not know enough technology and 2) increasing communication between teachers and students via e-mail and text. Our students' presentations included many great activities but without teachers learning the proper technology necessary, they are useless. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Wednesday Night Ed. Tuesday, October 6, 2009. Toward the beginning, it talked about the fact that we like to classify the net generation and think they ALL have access to technology or sometimes access to the same type of technology. I'll tell you the big problem in my classroom whether rich or poor - Ipods! I can facilitate a style of learning that engages my students and keeps them active and hands-on. Today's students are very kinesthetic-oriented. I think if I keep these ideas in mind, it will help me serve my populatio...

val's useless news: November 2009
http://gotouselessnews.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Interactive whiteboards/Smartboards are absolutely an asset in the today’s classrooms, in my opinion. I am presently working in a middle school classroom with 7. Wednesday, November 4, 2009. Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? Are they going too far? I think this is like learning a second language. If you don’t use it, you will lose it. I guess I will need to do this again soon. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Val's Diigo Social Bookmarking page. Ed Tech. Blogs. View my complete profile.

Let's Talk Tech: September 2009
http://letstalktech09.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 30, 2009. The following are five ideas of how to incorporate Microsoft Excel into K-6 curriculum:. 1 Have the students bring in a grocery store receipt and teach them how to input the data into an Excel spreadsheet. Teach them how to set up formulas using the software features. Have them figure out how much they would spend in one year at this grocery store. 5 Take the students to the computer lab and teach them how to create a timeline while studying space travel. The students c...

Tam's Tech Talk: PSA Project
http://tamstechtalk.blogspot.com/2009/11/psa-project.html
Wednesday, November 4, 2009. In the end it seemed fine but wouldn’t save to my flashdrive. Then my group member tells me that the file became corrupt and we lost all of the audio so she had to redo the entire video! I’m not sure what happened there, but that was disappointing and makes me feel less confident about using this tool in the future. We had even added audio via the microphone on the computer that took a while because we had to keep it under 7 seconds. All was lost. Wed Nite Tech Blog.
