There are those of us RR "purests" who still feel a train just isn't a train w/o a cabbose.well, ok, then, us old guys.but such is still the case! Cabooses DO ROCK.no, not talking about that moving motion. Yes, they did do that, severly in the beginning. But the change from freight trucks to pass. ones made a huge difference. I'm talking about "cool! Or as todays kids would call it."awesome!

John's homage to Mormon Rocks. John has an eye for details and takes pride in blending the G scale scenery into the full size background. Quite a picturesque and believable scene. John rebuilt, repaired, painted and placed the buildings in the engine servicing area on the new extension. Thanks for all the support John!

Quite a bit has gone on since the last installment. Over President's weekend the Family and I ventured out to Joshua Tree. We enjoyed our visit and worked on the yard crib. Hello, I spent the morning of Sunday 10/16 placing the first railroad ties between the 7 1/2" gauge and the G-scale to help retain the slope. John Griffin came by and helped move soil. He definitely has an eye for these things. John has been collecting orange rocks and strategically stacking them. I headed out to Joshua Tree for another visit with Bob and John. Bob Whitt and I spent part of the morning assessing the buildings Miles left for us. All in all a good mix of buildings that should look great on the railroad. Bob and I then met up with John at the Railroad. We did some arm waving and yelling (that is how everyone expresses themselves, isn't it?
