It always amazes me that so many old parts are still available for vans like these and it is useful to keep a record of suppliers. Here are a few links to people we have used for part supply. I’ll update the list as and when required:. We have used these mostly for replacement lamps, mirrors etc., but also for fuel pipe and fittings. Cable for rebuilding wiring harneses have come from here as well as sundries, terminals, switches etc. In Bathgate, West Lothian have been doing most of the paintwork for us.

A useful tip when stripping components is to take photographs as you go. This serves as a useful reminder when re-building. Here are some photos which I have taken while working on the milkfloat. Morris JB Van | The Maroon Van

The maroon van came to us in a pretty good condition. The engine is actually a nissan unit and has had the addition of extras such as a brake servo. The wiring was very poor consisting mostly of 7-core cable used in trailer electrics. The wiring harness has been completely rebuilt using cloth covered cable and featured as an article in a recent addition of ‘Classic van and pick-up’.
