MYH238 "The Only Way is a J". The story of a 1952 van, a work in progress in every way. At long last the final push is underway to get "The MYtH" back on the road. Friday, 4 November 2011. Further work carried, it's a shame but this will be the last "workshop weekend" till the New Year. I have some parts to buy, carb wiper motor, exhaust and some other bits. And bobs. Fit the windows to the doors. Connect the wiring. The MYH 238 will be 60 years old shortly and I hope to have Him. Posted by Morris Man.

MYH 238 The saga starts. Here are the first 80 pictures, so in true Blog fashion read from the bottom up. Progress as of 31/8/2011. Picture of the JB type gearbox mounts, anybody have a spare pair? Looks like I will have to make these. A rather dusty J but engine now fitted. Progress as of 2/8/2011. Wheels are now red.

We took our Army Moke to an annual reunion of Army Vehicles at Corowa New South Wales. It is the bigest event of its type in the Southern Hemisphere . Check out, http:/ www.corowaswim-in.org/. It was a week long event, culminating with a Grand Parade on 14.03.2015. About 215 ex Army Vehicles were in the Grand Parade including our Moke and another Moke.

Our Army Moke hasn’t been out for a while, so when we were invited to be part of the Press Preview of the 2015 Australian Air Show at Avalon Airport, we jumped at the chance. Well the ship carrying the Heinkel finally arrived last Friday and a few days later after it was inspected by Australian Quarantine, we were told we could pick it up. Skip to main menu. Morris J type and JB vans. This site is the home of a current restoration project of a small collection of Morris J type vans. There are three vans being worked on at the moment with more in the pipeline. The first is a cream coloured van which has had a complete outer body restoration and an engine and wiring harness rebuild. Please leave any comments you may have or let us know about your vans. The chassis is now back from the powder coaters and the rebuild is now under way.
