The Performer in Me. The Most Basic About Me Ever. Friday, July 26, 2013. The muse is visiting. #funforFriday. So remember this pile of fabrics from earlier this week. Well yesterday morning I just up and started cutting it. This happened very quickly. But as usual, not very cleanly. I tidied it up a bit, with the girl's direction [she wanted shorter.]. Here's the fun part: I wasn't making this for the shop, just my little girl. And by love and chance, I got the inspiration. I thought I was done. I insti...

Annabelle Serendipity: Knit Yourself A Necklace
http://annabelleserendipity.blogspot.com/2013/02/knit-yourself-necklace.html
Tuesday, 12 February 2013. Knit Yourself A Necklace. Some pretty knitted necklaces. I then collected a few yarns of different textures in shades of red with a few additional colours for accent. I like red! I then set to knitting and crocheting several strands in different widths and designs in different yarns all approximately 24 inches long. I also knitted some small red roses for decoration. For some beads and then to twist and twine and assemble the necklace . Have you made any unusual necklaces?

Annabelle Serendipity: Paper Valentine Wreath
http://annabelleserendipity.blogspot.com/2013/02/paper-valentine-wreath.html
Monday, 4 February 2013. A Cheap And Cheerful Decoration. For The Kids To Make. Valentine Day Paper Wreath. This Valentine Day I intend to make a bit of an effort, (I never do), and this is the first little make that I intend to put on the front door to welcome Mr Whizz Kid home. It is cheap and cheerful and costs absolutely nothing . Find some pamphlets or newspaper supplements. Cut out two circles using a plate and a saucer. I used pinking sheers. Force a seam along the length with the colour uppermost.

Annabelle Serendipity: Quick Knit Slippers
http://annabelleserendipity.blogspot.com/2013/02/quick-knit-slippers.html
Wednesday, 13 February 2013. Just Like Grandma Made. Hand knit cosy slippers. Based on a 1940s pattern. Searching the net for simple knit slipper patterns, they all appear to be similar, and very quick and easy to knit. So I decided to design my own based on some of the simple designs I found on Ravelry. The materials were just what I had in my stash -. 2 x 50 gram balls of multicoloured sock wool in 4 ply - to be used together. 1 pair of size 7 mm needles. The Slipper - Make 2. Cast on 30 st. Knit into ...

Because life’s celebrations shouldn’t cost the Earth. Friday, 12 December 2014. DIY Appliqued Fabric Banner. Sew Kirstie: January 2015
http://sewkirstie.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Friday, 23 January 2015. So, due to an error (I'm a natural at this "nothing this side of Heaven is perfect" tradition, that the early American settlers practised) my Flying Geese blocks welcomed a wonky block to the gaggle, and the name was born. Easy peasy this naming milarkey. Anyway, I quite like it. And it's the first quilt that I quilted on my new toy, so Wonky will always be a little bit special. Thanks for popping by. I hope you have a fabulous weekend. xx. Sunday, 18 January 2015. And between de...
