Judy's Ramblings: February 2015
http://judithindia.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 27, 2015. Lent Day 10: The Silent Observer. Gonna start today's post with a few day's worth of the "Simple Abundance" calendar wisdom:. Feb 26, 27, 28, 29. Turning away from the world and toward your own happiness is the path of authenticity. You have embarked on an adventure as exciting as any explorer's. But uncovering the source of the Nile or charting the course of the Amazon is nothing compared to the inner journey to Wholeness- a safari of the self and Spirit. While driving home, I...

Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Lent Days 34-35: Feeling Supported. I think part of the blessing of my community is that I genuinely want the people in my life (and everyone, for that matter) to live life to their fullest. Happiness and bliss and smiles. I know these aren't "practical" or "doable" all of the time, but it's my focus for myself and others. And do you know what? Suffering isn't a gift from or to God. Joy is. I have been getting ready for the upcoming flight to Japan (FRIDAY! I have been grateful...
Judy's Ramblings: just keep breathing
http://judithindia.blogspot.com/2015/04/just-keep-breathing.html
Thursday, April 23, 2015. When my heart is breaking, i keep breathing. When i stop breathing, i remind myself to take another breath. I have asked for prayer and it was given. I was wanting some advice and the perfect person walked by my desk and had five minutes to talk to me. When i cried it was comfortable and safe. The voices in my head are all over the place, with a myriad of opinions about putting our beautiful and sparkling warrior of a son on meds today. Perfection leaves so little room for impro...
Judy's Ramblings: 3 Months Later . . .
http://judithindia.blogspot.com/2015/07/3-months-later.html
Thursday, July 23, 2015. 3 Months Later . . . Probably once a day I think, "That would be funny or interesting or . . . for my blog". And that's about as far as it goes. Today, however, I let the impulse build and grabbed the laptop bag from the truck, unpacking it outside on the deck of the ranch. It's been three months to the day of my last posting. Three is one of my favorite numbers, so I smiled when I saw the date. I've missed babbling online. I'll try not to be such a stranger. Why I created a blog?
Judy's Ramblings: April 2012
http://judithindia.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Once again I close a new cherished story with a sigh and wish it wasn't over. The Night Circus. By Erin Morgenstern has enthusiastically made its way onto the "favorites" shelf in my library and when I come across a copy in my shopping excursions, I will buy it to keep. Two magicians have competed against each other for countless years, raising protoge's who "battle" their magical abilities in a contained venue. The latest competition is held at the Night Circus,. You may tell ...

The Whirling Dervish: March 2015
http://cinnyn.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 30, 2015. I've been in Boston, MA for 3 weeks now but the weather has been crappy on the weekends. Yesterday was the first sunny day that I was off. Yeah me! I finally got to be a bit of a tourist. Took the Red Line down to Park to start at the Boston Commons. From there I started my own walk of the Freedom Trail (thefreedomtrail.org) which comprises 16-18 historic places on a 2 mile walk. All are significant to the beginnings of our country. And green. Old army green at that.
The Whirling Dervish: October 2013
http://cinnyn.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 9, 2013. I was in the mood for a black and white photo. This is one of the front doors at the National Cathedral in Georgetown, VA. Links to this post. Labels: Black and white. Monday, October 7, 2013. Friday I drove to the next town up the road to go to Walmart. Now usually I hate shopping at Walmart but I needed groceries, a roasting pan, and my oil changed. The drive home was interesting as storms were rolling in. Made for an interesting picture! Links to this post.

Thursday, February 26, 2015. I came home for a week and a half between travel assignments. While I've been here my mom and I have taught my nieces how to cross stitch. They are doing pretty well with practice just doing the x's and locking down their thread in the back. Shockingly the 8 year old is having an easier time than the 12 year old. Chapter 1 is all about the Howl. In fact, Clarissa Estes names the chapter ‘The Howl: Resurrection of the Wild Woman.’. 8220;There is an old woman who lives in a hidden place that everyone knows in their souls but few have ever seen.”. Does this mean the song is as important as the bones? If we are singing over our own bo...

The Whirling Dervish: Skeletons
http://cinnyn.blogspot.com/2015/04/skeletons.html
Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Apparently early Bostonians thought putting skeletons on their tombstone was a sign they had beaten death and gone to heaven. I just think the stone masons wanted a laugh. Clearly this skeleton is enjoying its life. #boston #historygeek. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was an error in this gadget. Beyond the fields we know. Cheryl Day's 365 Photo Project. The Whirling Dervish: November 2013
http://cinnyn.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 25, 2013. I've been missing the ocean this weekend. Since I'm finishing up my assignment in Iowa, I'm a bit far from a walk on the beach. I'm making due with this beautiful stained glass window at the National Catherdral is Georgetown, VA. You will only see this window, that is in an office on the behinds the scenes tour they offer. The office space had several small windows like this and they all have a sea theme. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Beyond the fields we know.

The Whirling Dervish: Sunday Reading
http://cinnyn.blogspot.com/2015/01/sunday-reading.html
Sunday, January 18, 2015. Today I was rereading “Women Who Run with the Wolves,” chapter 1, as you do when starting a reread. I have come to realize that you read this book at different points in your life and the words open to new insights. What you weren’t ready to understand and to know back in your 30’s you now can understand and see in your 40’s. Chapter 1 is all about the Howl. In fact, Clarissa Estes names the chapter ‘The Howl: Resurrection of the Wild Woman.’. 8220;We all begin as a bundle of bo...

Judy's Ramblings
Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Regulating Those Pesky Emotions. I was in discussion yesterday with some people in my life about emotions and depression, life-choices and medications. Not surprisingly, we all had different opinions. The one thing we all agreed upon was the goal of a personal sense of peace. Notice I didn't say happiness. I was disturbed to discover that while I was able to acknowledge which clothing items I really liked or disliked, I can't honestly say that any of them actually incited fe...

Friday, 7 March 2008. Winter Break and Term 2. Hello to anyone who still checks this thing! Evidence of Spring is here now and the most exciting thing is the lambing! We’ve seen five births and love watching the adorable lambs hopping around their pens and now into the fields. Wild daffodils are bloom and the banks are covered in a sea of bright yellow flowers. We’ve been warned of a bobcat spotted in the village, but haven’t had any encounters yet! Wednesday, 12 December 2007. He does however have a flu...
