Monday, September 13, 2010. Vacation 2010 Starts off With a Trip to Seattle. You can never go wrong with a visit to lifelong friends. Even though I met Jessica my freshman year in college, which is technically only about 1/2 my life at this point, she seems like a lifelong friend. And given that we are on different coasts, we don't get to see each other near enough! The highlight was tea at The Empress Hotel - where believe it or not - they have a Gluten Free Tea (they better for the $62 price tag!

Lil' Lurie Chronicles: What. A. Month.
http://luriechronicles.blogspot.com/2011/12/what-month.html
Adventures of our family of five, our ruler the cat, and a sweetly disobedient dog. Tuesday, December 20, 2011. What A. Month. I'm not sure when it became the third week of December, but here we are. A brief update from the past few weeks:. Cooking a 20 pounder for a first time may have been ambitious but I think he did a great job. After packing 8 leftover boxes and doing multiple loads through the dishwasher, we put our feet up and celebrated a first Thanksgiving in our new house a success. Here's a gr...

In the end, our dream house became available and our house was picked up by a lovely woman that, if given the opportunity, I’d love to be her friend. Go back to school? Sunday, September 20, 2009. Oregon - The Not So Good Part. What was I thinking. I keep asking myself that over and over and over again, and all I can tell you is that signing up for Cycle Oregon was clearly a lapse in judgment. Clearly, I should have done more research beforehand. It sounded like it would be so much fun! Who wouldn't want to ride their bike 400 miles around Oregon for a week? We were signing up for the "Tent and Porter" service so that somebody else set up and took down our tent each day!

Joanne's Blog: The Trip of a Lifetime
http://keepupwithjoanne.blogspot.com/2010/09/trip-of-lifetime.html
Thursday, September 16, 2010. The Trip of a Lifetime. When Marj and I were researching what to do in Alaska, every adventure claimed it was "the trip of a lifetime." A great marketing message that clearly worked on us, as we tried to cram as many "trips of a lifetime" as we could into 2 weeks. Today was our kayaking "trip of a lifetime! Joanne's Blog: Trophy Trout
http://keepupwithjoanne.blogspot.com/2010/09/trophy-trout.html
Thursday, September 16, 2010. What a spectacular day on the Kenai River! After breakfast at the B&B chatting with some salty old fisherman about how obviously we were responsible for the gorgeous weather, and getting outfitted in chest waders, (definitely not as glamorous as the riding gear) we climbed in a drift boat w/our guide Paul for a day of fishing. And she wasn't even trying! We were just drifting under a bridge and barely paying attention when she got a bite! It was so maddening! Paul said he'd ...

All the Olympians turned out for a draft legal pro triathlon on the streets of DC and in the muddy waters of the Potomac (yuck! It was fun to watch. With few spectators, I had front row viewing of the entire race and I'm inspired! The winner, Aussie Emma Moffatt.). Sarah Haskins, the top USA finisher, 4th place.). Friday, June 19, 2009. Get Outside And Play: Laura's Savageman Race Report
http://teamlunachixdc.blogspot.com/2008/09/luaras-savageman-race-report.html
Laura's Savageman Race Report. Was the hardest race I’ ve. Done yet. But I accomplished my goals of making it up Westernport. I signed up for Savageman. Over six months ago. I had so much fun being part of a relay (swimming) and volunteering last year that I just had to give the whole race a try this year. I went into this race with two goals in mind: 1) to make it up the Westernport. Wall, a 100 foot 31% grade hill; and 2) to finish the race. Jersey with a long sleeve wicking. I love down hills. Adventures of our family of five, our ruler the cat, and a sweetly disobedient dog. Thursday, February 9, 2012. I have decided to write down the books I read last year. Fabulous reading and let me know if you have any questions about these reads! Don't judge me from my reading of steamy romance novels.sometimes a girl's just gotta read something sexy! 127 Hours by Aron Ralston. Slaughterhouse by Gail Eisnitz. The Hangman's Daughter by Oliver Potzsch. Journey to the Edge of the Light by Cristina Nehring.
