T's World: I'm back, at least temporarily.
http://kooglerpierce.blogspot.com/2009/06/im-back-at-least-temporarily.html
I'm back, at least temporarily. Howdy folks. I know it's been awhile. More than two months I think! My odd jobs business has picked up significantly and keeping me very busy, which is great, but it leaves little time for this. I have been toying with the idea of deleting this blog, but I think at least as a reference for myself for all the cooking we've done it's worth keeping. Anyways, that's all for now. I hope all my faithful readers are doing well. Grill pizza is da bomb. Yep, DA BOMB!

I'm back after my hiatus. All three of my ladies have had their babies and all are doing well! A couple weeks ago I joined forced with Ryan from the Dewey St. Workshop. For a basement demolition project. I have done a significant amount of yard work and other smaller fix-it jobs for the owner of the home, so I knew this would be an interesting matter. She has been working on a complete remodel (inside and out! Stairwell after panelling removed. Ryan taking out parts of the bookshelf area. This is the ...

Des Moines Civic Center - Frost/Nixon. I made my way to Des Moines for stagehand work at the Civic Center. It was the first stop on the first-ever tour for the Broadway show Frost/Nixon. I have probably seen more shows in this auditorium than I have in Hancher. LesMiserables, Phantom of the Opera, Cats.just to name the ones that jump to mind. The Des Moines Civic Center will always hold a special place in my heart. Which was excellent. Thanks Jill for the floor, shower and coffee! Just what I need is one...

T's World: Hand-picked Blueberries
http://kooglerpierce.blogspot.com/2009/07/hand-picked-blueberries.html
Friday I trekked with a friend down to the old location of Bock's Berry Farm. I picked nine pounds of tasty blueberries. My friend remarked that it might be a good idea for them to weigh the customers before and after they leave and collect for the other pound or two of berries that may have found their way into the belly instead of the bucket. I'm gonna try to get back down there this week. The freezer isn't quite full enough. ;p. That is so true on the U-Pick berries. I love it! 13 July, 2009 23:20.

Bakehouse" Bread with Romertopf Clay Bakers. Yesterday I was working helping a woman clean and organize her kitchen. We ended up getting rid of a lot of items - some to consign, some that just got thrown away, and some that were to get stored in the garage. A couple items she offered to give to me - one of them a Romertopf. And I thought I was anal about saving instructions and warranty information! She recommended the chicken recipe that was on the instructions, but the recipe for bread caught my eye.

T's World: Baby Patrol!
http://kooglerpierce.blogspot.com/2009/04/baby-patrol.html
So my blogging has been of significant slack lately. I've found that when I get busy, the computer stuff is the first to go, and my have I been busy! Most significantly right now, I know three women who are about to go into labor! 160;The other friend is due the 18th. I never thought I'd be so antsy about all of them having their babies, but working more closely with the preggers has been an eye opening experience for me. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). T's World: Ready to Garden!
http://kooglerpierce.blogspot.com/2009/03/ready-to-garden.html
Today I did something that I've never done before - started seedlings inside my house! I've had gardens of various natures and sizes over the years (all while living in rental units - it CAN be done), but I've always bought seedlings or started plants from seeds directly in the ground. Time to get serious though. it's so much cheaper to start the plants at home from seed than to pay $X per plant, especially if you're looking for heirloom or organic plants. So here's what we're going to have this year:.
