http://mysoreanmusings.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Memories, experiences, recollections, observations, compilations and what have you! Thursday, January 16, 2014. Our locality of Chamarajapuram was regularly visited by a school of monkeys. Just pass a thought why they were not seen for the last two days, . blink ten times and you heard them jumping on the branches - if it was a daytime thought! If it was after dusk, expect them the next day! All said and done, monkeys have always fascinated me no end. Especially in summer months, sun drying of certain fo...

See what goes on in my Yarden, mostly about plants, insects or birds. Yarden = Garden Yard. Wednesday, September 18, 2013. They referred to it as 'tree'. Most of them were from 1930s and 40s which testifies that it was already a tree at that time. See a part of the tree in all its glory in the 'greener months' of 2008. Pictured left with the house. Click] is the botanical name of this Indian Almond variety. It sheds leaves twice a year, in March and September. That made me this. With the property getting...

Memories, experiences, recollections, observations, compilations and what have you! Thursday, May 22, 2014. My Tennis, Racquets and more. Early 1930s. Right:. My grandfather K.M.Subba Rao. The great man was no longer playing when I arrived. But the last I saw him wield his racquet was during late 60s. It was against a wall in our living room standing 4 feet from it to show a little me how to hit half-volleys. I got it restrung just to get kicks from using my famed grandfather's racquet! Since none of my ...

Memories, experiences, recollections, observations, compilations and what have you! Thursday, March 13, 2014. All of us grow with mirrors. It has become one of the most indispensable objects wherever we go. Also, there is no end to getting fascinated by them, even unknowingly! Even birds enjoy looking at them! http://mysoreanmusings.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Memories, experiences, recollections, observations, compilations and what have you! Tuesday, June 17, 2014. When there was no game being played with the street children, we took the tire along. We often gasped after a long run, but we were never tired with the tire! It often collapsed, like the cat-walking lady toppling from her high heels! Those that possessed stiff old tires were seen with a bit of envy. Those that possessed a bare old rim, though rare, were envied more! When the stick hit the scooter ...

Memories, experiences, recollections, observations, compilations and what have you! Thursday, May 28, 2015. Story of my Chinese Hat Shrub. Our family kept in touch with them. Chitra was the daughter from his second wife [seated in front of Chitra]. This is a picture from 1956, taken at my grandfather's 60th birthday. We kept in touch till all three died at different times. Chitra was the last to go, after being alone for some years, in 2001 or so. We used to call her 'Chitru'. My 'new' garden taking shape.
