Today I Pray: Special Intention - Prayer of Healing
http://today-i-pray.blogspot.com/2009/05/special-intention-prayer-of-healing.html
Round the kitchen table. May 26, 2009. Special Intention - Prayer of Healing. Today I Pray . A special request for a local couple who is struggling right now. I received this email this morning and although I don't typically cut and paste things like this into this blog, it really seemed like the best way to ask people to take a moment and pray for this couple - and the millions of people who need. This prayer request for Gary and Cindy Hogman. By way of Faith Presbyterian Church, Emmaus. Lauren, I was b...

Why algebra is only for those who are ready |

Laquo; Crafting update! Why algebra is only for those who are ready. February 2, 2012. Algebra. The word alone sends some of the smartest people I know into hysterics. This skill set cripples some of the brightest young scholars. Without it, students are unable to conquer higher maths or sciences. And without these, many students must give up their dreams of medicine or engineering or rocket science. But why do they have to? This makes no sense. I’m a math tutor. And I’m convinced our mat...I truly wish ...

Laquo; Whoo, I need advice! Football AND Fun with the Doctor. And the winner was…. June 6, 2011. Clean the Bay Day and Pirate Festival! We spent a lot of time woodworking this weekend. J even almost chopped off his finger! We had to leave cause J’s finger was bleeding through the gauze pad (gross, I know.). I made him stay STILL at home for 2 hours (watching the O’s game! And he finally stopped gushing blood (it took less than 2 hours, lest someone think I suck at being a girlfriend-nurse.). All About th...

Chincoteague for the weekend! May 16, 2011. So we went to Chincoteague Island for the weekend it’s not quite season there yet, so it was pretty empty (which is how I like most of my vacation towns, haha). It was supposed to rain all weekend, but we decided to go anyway (we were going for my bday, which was a week ago). As a special bonus, our awesome Mother’s day cards we made. Book Review: Nick of Time by Tim Downs. May 12, 2011. Tying the knot may be the toughest thing Nick Polchak has ever tried to do.

Chemistry is fun |

Laquo; Why algebra is only for those who are ready. February 7, 2012. Tomorrow, my Chem lab is extracting caffeine from tea leaves. Luckily for them, I’m not grading on yield (this lab doesn’t always have the greatest yield). It’s fun, though, because the students actually know what they’re making. Entertaining for sure. We even have a signed football from his high school years haha. And in crafting news, the quilting festival is in a few weeks! I’ll post pics when it’s done! May 13, 2012 at 12:20 PM.

Today I Pray: November 2011
http://today-i-pray.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Round the kitchen table. November 13, 2011. You've got to get up every morning with a smile on your face, and show the world all the love in your heart.". Thank you Carole King! Links to this post. November 11, 2011. My new neighbor owns a rooster,. So for the past few months. I've been getting used to nature's reveille. That breaks the silence of the night. At the very first moment. The sun slices the morning sky. Crazy as it sounds,. I've come to love it. Dependable, certain,. To quickly fade off.

Today I Pray: March 2013
http://today-i-pray.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Round the kitchen table. March 31, 2013. From the moment I left the house this morning. I could tell that today was different. The world was quiet. Being sung right outside the door. The birds seemed to dance. From tree to tree. Singing a sweet song of salvation. And in the distance. Even the rooster crowed. With a grateful, humble heart. How do I even begin to understand. The amazing sacrifice You made. So that we might enjoy. I can only pray. I live my life. In a way that makes You happy. March 28, 2013.

Today I Pray: April 2013
http://today-i-pray.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Round the kitchen table. April 16, 2013. They were moms and dads. Taking the final strides. Towards the finish line. Shouting words of encouragement. When the unthinkable happened. They say that in the moments. Immediately after the explosions. There was an eery quiet. As the victims lay. In the quiet of my home. For the people who were there by chance. And the ones who had a change of plans and couldn't be there afterall. For the people who were at mile 25. On this day, I dedicate my prayers to you.
