'Round the Kitchen Table: November 2010
http://justbhappy100.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Round the kitchen table. November 24, 2010. It's been forever since I've written - and I apologize for that. But as one faithful reader once told me, the beautiful thing about a blog is that your readers are there when you write, and they understand when life gets in the way. But this morning - on the eve of my favorite holiday - Thanksgiving - I can't help but pause and count my blessings. Today and every day, I'm thankful for. The food on my plate, and the roof over my head. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

'Round the Kitchen Table: March 2010

Round the kitchen table. March 27, 2010. Have you ever had a job where you love the actual work you do - but for some reason, you come home at night at just bitch bitch bitch about all the things that are wrong. Well, after all these years, I think I may have figured out why this keeps happening to me. I'm a result-oriented person living in a clock-watching world. And here's the kicker - I don't even own a watch. It's all starting to make sense to me. All I can say is God bless Andy Levine from Sixth Man.

'Round the Kitchen Table: July 2010

Round the kitchen table. July 22, 2010. Let's Talk - Vacation Time! I don't know if you have ever looked through Table Topics. Given the title of my blog, introducing the concept of table topics here seems rather fitting. Going forward, you can expect to see a weekly post - maybe a "Think About It Thursday" or "Let's Talk Tuesday" (although I guess that would require some consistency in my efforts, and we know how that goes - maybe they'll just be periodic! And I'll try to add them to the list. When Some...

'Round the Kitchen Table: O'Potato Soup!
http://justbhappy100.blogspot.com/2013/03/opotato-soup.html
Round the kitchen table. March 17, 2013. Were playing, the food was plentiful, and the laughs shared among friends were loud and heartfelt. In keeping with tradition, last night we had a house full of friends to enjoy a St. Patrick's Day feast with all the fixings - corned beef and cabbage, carrots and potatoes, Irish soda bread - and of course, a variety of beers. Friends rounded out the menu with an array of appetizers and an impressive spread of desserts. A true feast! Here goes. Let's call it. Add on...

'Round the Kitchen Table: December 2009
http://justbhappy100.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Round the kitchen table. December 31, 2009. What a Difference A Day Makes. I woke yesterday morning to yet another glorious sunrise. The way the color swept across the sky and rose up over the trees was truly magnificent. Despite the chill in the air on the frosty winter morning, I couldn't help but feel the warmth from the heavens. In the coming year. Best wishes for a healthy, happy and safe New Year. December 29, 2009. I am positively overwhelmed! The day is yours - choose happy! December 27, 2009.

'Round the Kitchen Table: Just Be Happy
http://justbhappy100.blogspot.com/2013/04/just-be-happy.html
Round the kitchen table. April 10, 2013. I have been thinking a lot about this blog lately. Trying to figure out if I should keep trying to maintain it, or maybe start a different and more focused one. Or maybe sift through some of the old posts and clear out those that no longer really apply to my life (like my fascination with Wildtree that's long passed! I decided to go back and read some of my early posts - especially the ones I've flagged as. The Philosophy of Nicholas and Sarah. Michelle and I intr...

'Round the Kitchen Table: March 2011
http://justbhappy100.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Round the kitchen table. March 7, 2011. I sat down at my computer this morning and looked out my front window across the street at the mountain in the distance. There I saw the most wonderful sight.b. Lue skies peeking out between grey clouds that are quickly rolling out of town. The sight of a classic spring sky made me smile. Hen, lo and behold,. I heard birds chirping. Spring is definitely on its way…and just like that, I feel inspired. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Pull Up a Chair.

'Round the Kitchen Table: Poor Little Lilly
http://justbhappy100.blogspot.com/2013/04/poor-little-lilly.html
Round the kitchen table. April 9, 2013. In the shadow of the passing of Lilly Pulitzer, you might think by title that this post would be about her - but no, it's about my little Easter Lilly. It's been a long-standing tradition in my home that Jeff brings me a Lilly in the days before Easter. I love Easter lillies - everything about them - the purity of color, the fragrance, and mostly the way they seem to open up and trumpet in celebration of Jesus' resurrection. 'Round the Kitchen Table: May 2010

Round the kitchen table. May 6, 2010. The best inheritance you can leave your kids is an example of how to live a meaningful life.". I saw this quote today and it really struck me. I am rich beyond words because of the example my parents have set for me. I only hope I can do the same for my children. May 4, 2010. To do the same.but would we have done it? On my way home I knew I was going to share it with you.and I think for the next couple weeks I'm really going to be on the lookout for those small a...
