Quick Word Count Check-In - 3,000+ - Musings from the Dark Side
http://storeetllr.livejournal.com/4666.html
Musings from the Dark Side. Quick Word Count Check-In - 3,000. November 8th, 2008. Having frittered away my morning checking out various websites and blogs, including NaNo, I'm now on my way to tutor my adult literacy student, then I'm going to a write-in at The Downbeat Cafe. This is a great thread, man, very helpful to, like, boost my memory of, like, how things really were back then. :). I too got a pixie haircut when I was about 12. I also remember vividly having to wear skirts to work in the mid...

Musings from the Dark Side. Entries by tag: starbucks. The Pressure Is On! Only One More Week! November 23rd, 2008. Dylan, Stones, Zep - yo! I have been too busy in the past 10 days or so to post. I wish I could say it's because I was busy writing my NaNo novel. So, the question is, will I do it? Will I get to 50,000 words by midnight (well, better make it 11 pm to be safe) on November 30? Or will I fall to the wayside this year? At this point, it's still up in the air which way things will go.

The Final Stretch! - Musings from the Dark Side
http://storeetllr.livejournal.com/5527.html
Musings from the Dark Side. November 28th, 2008. First, I want to wish everyone a belated Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you all have a long holiday weekend and it is simply wonderful. I wrote all day today (7 hours) and managed to get 5,000 words written in that time. Not great, but not shabby either. I'm not up to 40,000 words! The group vibe was tremendously motivating as I said, I got 5,000 words written, but one of the group got 9,000 words written in about 6 hours. She is a word goddess!

Yes! *does happy dance & punches fists in air* Yes! Yes! Yes! - Musings from the Dark Side
http://storeetllr.livejournal.com/5839.html
Musings from the Dark Side. Does happy dance and punches fists in air* Yes! November 30th, 2008. None, except the music in my heart that is like a joyous symphony. 51,000 PLUS words! My purple bar is just beautiful, shining there next to my name on the NaNoWriMo site. I rock! To write literary fiction. It is simply not me. It is not a pleasure for me to write. I may love to read it, but I do not love to write it, and it shows because what I wrote this year stinks. Just One More Page.Or Two.

The Anything Box: Let the Right One In
http://storeetllrsanythingblog.blogspot.com/2009/02/let-right-one-in.html
A blog about books and other forms of entertainment, including art and travel and pretty much anything that piques my interest. Saturday, February 28, 2009. Let the Right One In. Last year, I read. Let the Right One In. Today I learned that the book has been made into a moviewith Kare Hedebrandt playing Oskar and Lina Leandersson playing Eli. I usually avoid films based on books that I've read, because nine times out of ten, they cruelly disappoint, but. Let the Right One In. Let the Right One In. Just l...

A blog about books and other forms of entertainment, including art and travel and pretty much anything that piques my interest. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Weekend Assignment #252: Book Connections. I just stumbled across this cool blog Outpost Mâvarin. When I was looking at her blog tonight. Apparently, every week Karen of Outpost Mavarin appoint a "guest professor" to pose a question to her readers. This week, Laura of YBTN. Where do you get books from? Commentaries on the Gallic Wars. But those were ...
