There were always many smells around the house, some beautiful and sweet, some dry, dusty and earthy. I can most probably map my childhood experiences through the smells I remember. Training for the London Marathon - 26 April 2009. Sunday, 1 February 2009. I am sure our fridge is warmer than this. Warm house, well insulated, but last night was cold. To say it was cold is an understatement. It was freezing - at times my body felt numb, it was that cold.
