Friday, July 6, 2012. So at the end of June/beginning of July we went down to Sikeston for Judson's funeral. We hate getting together with family for things like this but it is also nice to be able to visit with everyone as well and of course be a strength to one another during such a difficult time. The time went by way too quickly and even my kids hated to leave. It was the best way to entertain all the houligan kids of ours! Maybe so.just not sure what category! This year we decided to go apple picking a little earlier then usual so we could get our favorite apples: Honeycrisp. Buying them for $0.70 per lb instead of $3 or more per lb was definitely worth the drive. Our corner of the world may not be much, but it's ours! Sunday, December 13, 2009. When I blog I really blog! So I ran a 5K in October and loved every minute of it! Now I'm addicted to running! I've been running about 20 miles a week since then. And I'm going to run a 10 k in June and a half Marathon next October. For someone who has NEVER enjoyed running this is a BIG deal. I actually really enjoy it. And a great benefit is I've lost 12 pounds since the beginning. Now I'm going to be teaching a triathlon.
