Last thursday morning we checked in with our care partner to get our assignments for the day. first thing, vitals. no sweat. as our care partner, patricia, informed us of the status on all of our patients she came to the last room, room 4378. he is hiv and hepatitis c positive she said. His sheets touched my clothes! What do i do? It was like any educational information that they had been taught about infection control left their brains. it frustrated me...

I really want to start praying together more like we talked about last sunday. August 7, 2007. Well last week I sucessfully finished my first week of work. It has been really good getting adjusted to working 9-5, I will start working 9-7:30 in a few weeks on M,W,TH,F. This is really the only schedule I can work since I have class at Southeastern on Tuesday’s. I’m looking forward to getting into this schedule and for UNCG to start so our college ministry to kick off! Filed in The Patio. July 26, 2007. March 1, 2008. Tommorrow is the launch! It’s gonna be awesome! The past couple weeks i’ve been thinking alot about the importance of being desperate for God. We as a church are really at the point where we need to be desperate for God to do something amazing! I think as we live our lives in desperation for God we can experience a joy that surpasses all understanding. I want to always live a life of desperation for God where nothing else gets in the way! August 15, 2007. Tonight we were playing volleyball when someone said a quote from the movie 300. It wasn’t what they said that was so great, but it got me to thinking about the movie. I love in that movie where the Spartan leader takes his 300 men to fight when they run into the other army. The other leader says “This is all the solider’s you’ve brought? June 30, 2007. The Hindus had all these idols that they would worship. They were porcelan dolls dressed in find clothes and jewlery. The priest would clean the dolls and dress them everyday! Everyday, This visit got me to thinking about our own lives. What things do we dress up and put in our own lives before God. It doesn’t have to be a porcelan doll, but idols can so easily slip into our lives without us even realizing. Do I really love God above Bethany? Do I love God above soccer? Filed in The Patio.
