A Painting Today: "Albright"
http://karinjurick.blogspot.com/2015/07/albright.html
The results of the life of a paintaholic. Saturday, July 4, 2015. For me, working on a theme gives me direction and motivation, both of which are sometimes hard to come by if you're a painter. So I've come up with a new series I'm psyched about titled ' A. Inspired by the artists I greatly admire, from A. It took about five minutes to list 23, with U, X and Y still to be determined. Those 23 were easy, artists I've loved for years - through artbooks and visits to museums. I hope you enjoy this new series.

http://karinjurick.blogspot.com/2015/08/my-new-book-to-z-available-now.html
The results of the life of a paintaholic. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Gauguin' and My New Book 'A to Z'. A new addition to my series ArtistZ. I grappled with my three choices - Giacomett. Who my mom also loved and emulated in painting and sculpture, Jean-Leon Gerome. Who painted the most exquisite, realism I've ever laid eyes on and Paul Gauguin, who had no rules about color other than creating harmony. There is something that sends me when I look at a Gauguin in person and that's why I chose him. My Pain...

Paintings by Kimberly Leistiko. My Journey Through Art. Sunday, July 1, 2007. Oil on gallery wrapped canvas. This painting was a true joy to do. A Painting Today
The results of the life of a paintaholic. Wednesday, March 21, 2018. My new painting features Edward Hopper's New York Movie. Which I last saw at the Art Institute of Chicago, on loan from the Museum of Modern Art in an exhibition titled America after the Fall: Painting in the 1930's. The exhibition included my very favorite painters - Hopper, O'Keeffe, Grant Wood to name a few - depicting scenes during the Great Depression. It was unforgettable. The poet Joseph Stanton wrote an ode to the painting.
