This will be my forth season on the Superfly but the first on the newly engineered frame. A little about me and my two wheeled adventures! Monday, August 04, 2014. Singletrack 6 2014 . And look forward to another 6 days in the Okanagan in 2015! A few notes on each stage - and if you ask me which was the favorite I'd have a hard time - all different and all good and all worth a visit. Stage 1 - Kananaskis. Stage 2 - Nipika. After a quick trip home to pack after stage one I was lucky to catch a spot in Banff (thanks Margie! Stage 3 - Invermere. Stage 4- Golden Mt Seven. Stage 6 - Revelstoke.

Some times we get to plan it, other times it just is what it is. and both at work and home it's been said a few times the last two weeks. Good news; I'll be more in Calgary; can my job be done this way, well, it is what it is. In other ways than most of the racers who probably woke up after stage 7 with a slight headache. My seven was get in the car after the awards. Life, from my perspective. Wednesday, November 29, 2006. One of my goals for the upcoming year is to complete the Transrockies. It's a one week mountain bike race through the Canadian Rockies, from Fernie to Panorama, crossing the continental divide twice. Over seven days, I will ride more than 600 kilometres, including over 12,000 metres of vertical. It's one of the toughest mountain bike races on earth and it will be my first mountain bike race. Monday, 4 May 2015. What makes mountain biking hard? Well, a little of everything. Faded on the climbs on last lap and I ended up 6th. Which I guess is fine for me actually. So other than that ancillary stuff, back to the question - what makes mountain biking hard? It challenges all parts of your energy output ability:. Secondly, this one did have a reasonably defined section of downhill to rest, but the two climbs and the "flat" headwind back to the start finish had nowhere to rest.

A rock slide (of, like, half of a mountain) in January 2010 dammed this river, blocking its flow for five months and creating a lake that was, at one point 21km in length.
