It's been a while since I've posted anything on this blog, but that's because we've been back in the US and thoroughly enjoying being around friends and family! The summer has just flown by, and before you know it, Alex will be on his way back to Italy. Here are some pictures from May. It was such a lifesaver, given our tiny apartment and the cold, dreary, rainy winter weather. Jacob had fun playing with the kitchen/grill. Basketball goal, of course. Dunking lessons from daddy. So here's a bunch of pictures of stuff from November and December. Jacob figured out how to stand on his own. Here he is, modeling his Italian outfit. The slim cut Italian jeans and t-shirt fit our skinny child very well. Thanks for the t-shirt Kate and Tony! Holding the TV remote for dad. Not a fan of hats at all. Cute cowboy, though. Santa arrived on a canoe this year.

The life and travels of a basketmaker, his wife and son. Sunday, February 15, 2009. We spent six days in the hospital last week. Jacob had an infection, so the hospital put him on IV antibiotics. It wasn't the most fun we've ever had, but we got some great pictures! We're home now and everything's fine! Not really liking the hospital. They put an IV in his left foot, hence the massive amount of gauze wrapped around his left leg. Showing off one of his many bandages. Thursday, February 12, 2009.

Unsuccessful attempt at sleeping in the pack 'n play. Tuesday, January 27, 2009. After four days, we finally get to go home with daddy! He slept the entire way home. Monday, January 26, 2009. By the third day, Jake was ready to interact with us and the camera. Sunday, January 25, 2009. The foot- perfect miniature replica of dad's foot.

The life and travels of a basketmaker, his wife and son. Thursday, April 15, 2010. It is a short 15 minute walk to the center of Vigevano from our apartment. Now that spring has arrived, we come here for lunch every day. One of the prettiest piazzas in Italy. It is lined with restaurants, shops and cafes. Jacob's favorite gelato shop. Jacob LOVES running after the birds. Most of our pictures are of the back of his head. Daddy chasing after him with crutches. Finally, no crutches! Wednesday, April 14, 2010.
