An uprooted Mainer and a native Texan marry. Thursday, July 21, 2016. It has been an eternity since I last wrote a blog. You could blame it on busyness. Or children. Or work. Or anything you want. But it doesn't change the fact that 4 years has gone by. It's been a full and fantastically satisfying 4 years. We adopted the children. Our church merged with another and it has been awesome. An uprooted Mainer and a native Texan marry. Tuesday, February 28, 2012. A visit from Alex! What a wonderful surprise it was to get a text from Alex about 2 weeks ago telling me he was going to be in Austin for a few days! So, last week he showed up! He came because a group called Tuesday's Children. Was in town working with Habitat for Humanity. Tuesday's Children is one of the last remaining 9/11 groups, focused on working with the children of 9/11. He got to know them while working on the movie.

Where life is sunny with a high of 75! Wednesday, July 16, 2014. A friend of mine is in the same place I was in a few months ago. Her 2nd IUI was unsuccessful. It is an incredibly confusing and heartbreaking place. She confided to me that people were looking at her like she was crazy because she "didn't lose anything."
