http://kateinkilimanjaro.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Notes from a year living in Moshi, Tanzania. Wednesday, August 27, 2008. It happened the other day when I was sitting in my office, either reading a salacious email or waiting for the mountain to show and feeling really hungry. I eyed the box of Marie brand bicuits on my desk…. Isabelle had told me they were “soggy stale” but I was really hungry. Maybe they taste okay if you're really hungry, I reasoned. Friday, August 22, 2008. Finally she stopped fighting and four drops of blood were squeezed from her ...

Kate in Kilimanjaro: Lake Victoria part 2 Bukoba
http://kateinkilimanjaro.blogspot.com/2009/07/lake-victoria.html
Notes from a year living in Moshi, Tanzania. Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Lake Victoria part 2 Bukoba. Fish soup. It was delicious. Camping on the beach in Bukoba. This is a traditional Haya banda. The Haya are the main tribe in Bukoba and one of Tanzania's largest tribes. The floors of the bandas are dirt, lined with long cut grass which is quite soft. Many cinder block homes still have that traditional flooring. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Gift of a goat. Lake Victoria part 2 Bukoba.

Tuesday, July 10, 2012. Miss Anna turned 4 today. What a little personality she is! She loves pink. She loves dressing herself and as, documented on this blog, continues to have her own sense of style. She is bubbly, loving, happy, strong willed, bright and quick witted! After Anna and Alex's swimming lessons, we went to the grocery store and got all we needed for her favorite dinner - homemade mac and cheese, hot dogs, broccoli, watermelon and chocolate milk! Diane joined us for the evening and we even ...

Sunday, November 9, 2008. The Los Angeles AIDS WALK. My first exposure to HIV/AIDS was when I lived in downtown New York City with my friend Fidel, more than a decade ago.
