Just another WordPress.com weblog. Laquo; Kathryn Rose by any other name? The Mother of Invention. They say that necessity is the mother of invention. I think irritation is the mother of invention. Only because I think in many cases “necessity” would be a strong word. No, me neither. But my floors are a lot cleaner now. This must be especially true when it comes to baby products. Diaper wipe warmers? She chimes in) they make way more cool stuff now than they did then! Two words: nursing covers. So one of...

The State of the Kate
The State of the Kate. Oct 9th, 2014 at 5:05 PM. It was the biggest book I'd ever seen. I was strong enough to lift it, but just barely. My grandparents, who had bought it, told me to treat it very carefully. The pages were thinner and more fragile than my story books, and we wanted to keep it for a very long time. My grandfather helped me read. "What does unabridged mean? Let's find out," he said, and asked me to find the indented tab with the "U" on the edge of the book. My freshman year in college, th...

Infinite Possibilities
Thursday, August 26, 2010. I woke up this morning, got dressed, and found a 5 dollar bill in my pocket! Sunday, August 15, 2010. First Day of School. I can't say that I'm really nervous. of course I'm concerned for a few things, but all together, I feel pretty good. It's almost as if I'm a fifth grader again coming into school for the first time. The same questions are running through my mind. What should I wear? Will they like me? What if they don't and I have no friends? Did I remember my pencils?
