Sunday, February 22, 2015. We had a 3 day weekend because of conferences this week, which was VERY nice and relaxing! We finally finished Brady's room! He loves his helicopter FATHEAD! Sunday, August 30, 2015. We made it through the first week of school.but that doesn't mean we aren't tired! This little lady misses her friends while they are at school, but she usually takes a long afternoon nap until they get home! Brady had a great first week of kindergarten, although he was quite tired and lunch made him a bit nervous with the 200 plus kids! It's no secret that I'm not into throwing giant birthday parties every year for the kids. :) We had one when the kids were smaller, and it was just a little too much for me, and them. Now I'm not hating on those of you that enjoy throwing parties for your children each year- go for it! It was an enjoyable experience, and the kids had a ball!

Wednesday, July 22, 2015. We got Mimi tickets to Cinderella for Christmas, and drove to Des Moines Saturday night to see the Broadway show! As many of you know, Mimi has always loved Cinderella and her blue dress! Mallory enjoyed it and the costume changes were awesome! We had a great girls trip, and didn't even mind getting home at 1:30 in the morning! Back to the routine this week of swim lessons, parties, and playdates and enjoying our last 4 weeks of summer. :). Saturday, July 18, 2015. We were in Iowa City this week, as I had classes again to finish up my talented and gifted teaching endorsement! We spent some of the week playing with play-doh! It's amazing how Zach and the kids end up at the mall whenever mom is gone and usually end up with a new pair of shoes! We went out to eat one night and ran into some besties from Ottumwa! Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Brady is going around saying he is officially a "kindergartener." :) Well, not quite, but today was his last day of preschool! Brady and Mrs. Pfaffe. They spent a lot of time together, as with my job at the middle school, she allowed him to come either early or stay late, until I was done teaching. What a blessing to our family! Monday, January 26, 2015. Climbing the walls.literally! Just kidding, I can't complain much about this winter, as the temps have been nice and we have been able to get outside quite a bit! The kids just like to climb the doorways. :). McDonald's (a few weeks back) had the book Flat Stanley in their Happy Meals! We made a weekend trip to Missouri to see the family, as it had been quite some time since we were there! We enjoyed some of Gramma's home cooking' of course! The big kids at the movie theatre.

Saturday, September 27, 2014. I just needed to release that! We've been having a lot of back to school kick offs this past week! Mine was on Thursday, complete with dunk tanks, obstacle courses, food, and music! And Mallory's was today! I missed taking any pictures, but they had a ball on the bounce houses, eating cotton candy, and getting their faces painted! Our neighbor, Bruce, owns a car dealership in town! There was an air show this weekend at our small little airport! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Monday, April 27, 2015. Field trips and fun! Mallory has had some fun field trips to the lake and to a farm! And the best field trip of all was the Civil War Re-Enactment down the street at the park! I brought the neighbor kids and we had our own little "field trip.". We learned about the cannons. Met a "soldier.". And petted the horses used in the battle! Friday, August 14, 2015. Fun, fun, fun! We've been busy this week with fun! This particular morning was a foggy one over the river, with a lone fisherman! It was such a pretty view, I had to get a picture! These monkeys need some sort of kid "American Ninja Warrior" to satisfy their climbing needs! We met some Ottumwa peeps halfway to play at the park on Monday! We love being able to do this.we had to rip the kids away from each other when it was time to go! There are the monkeys again.
