Discovering peace amongst the chaos. May 27, 2013. And once you live a good story, you get a taste for a kind of meaning in life, and you can’t go back to being normal; you can’t go back to meaningless scenes stitched together by the forgettable thread of wasted time.”. 8211; Donald Miller. It wasn’t necessary to win for the story to be great, it was only necessary to sacrifice everything. 8211; Donald Miller. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). Discovering peace amongst the chaos. March 16, 2013. Tonight I must write and tell you I am sorry…. I often struggle to find the right words to place into moments as they dance past me. Perhaps I have been wounded one too many times by misplaced words. Echoing across the silence or flying high above the noise of the crowd these words originating from the voices of ones whom I love, ones I have only just met, or even scattered and thoughtless words rolling off my own lips. Can I explain why? What I do kno...

Discovering peace amongst the chaos. March 30, 2013. A photo by alessa.mary. Someone shared with me recently that they have nothing to share, nothing to offer the world, nothing to hold onto or take pride in.His words spoke louder than what he was saying. What he said was, “I have nothing to share” — but his words revealed that the innermost part of his heart, coupled with the lonely look in his eye, was in reality whispering “. I am nothing”. But the truth is, everyone has their story to share. So tell ...

I didn't ever get the chance to meet my Dad's Dad. I do know a couple things about him, though. One: He was shot in the side during WWII. The bullet traveled through his backpack, the pot of beans that would have been his lunch, and his body before exiting out his front. Three: He died when my Dad was 23. That's not much older than me now. I can't imagine. Four: He looks dashing in these photos. I love old photos. Was he weary or invigorated? United Steak of America. I heart twinkle lights. Discovering Differentiation
Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Advice for a First Year Teacher. I wanted to write this particular blog for myself. I know the first year will be tough, so I'm writing this blog to give myself a little inspiration when times get hard. A first year teacher by the name of Esme Raji gave this advice;. If I fail at a lesson or at classroom management one day, I know what I need to do. Try! Our desire to teach, after all needs to be connected always to our enthusiasm and respect for what and who we are teaching.
