Later in the day after we went to the border we went to the mountains, specifically to the on with the Harzburg (kinda a castle) and we rode the Burgbahn up and walked down. it was a long walk! And we took a wrong turn. oops! I got some amazing pictures and a great story to tell. Perfection. Wilkommen zu Deutschland. Me living the dream. The wall of the burg. crazy huge! There and Back Again. Wednesday, May 25, 2011. It’s hard really. Remembering I mean. It’s been one year and it feels like yesterday. Looking back my exchange seemed to never end and yet it ended too soon. Weird how time does that right? The year back has been probably the fastest ever. Most likely cause I threw myself into my school and work and buried my head under ground and once in a while came up for air. I also went to Germany three times. Wait, they told us that? Wednesday we went to another hill town, San Gimignano which is near Siena and it’s known for it’s towers. There used to be over 70 towers in this tiny city, but now there are only fourteen. On the way back from San Gimignano we stopped and had a wine tasting with all of UT and CalPoly – it was big! Melynn and I after we learned how to taste wine!
