Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Katelyn enjoyed dying eggs for Easter. Ryan colored eggs with crayons. I turned around to grab something off the counter and then I heard a crunch. Ryan had taken a bite of the egg, shell and all. Adam and I laughed. I took the shell off the egg for Ryan to eat. He loves eggs. Adam is helping the kids dye eggs. Tuesday, June 16, 2009. We went to the Oregon coast over the weekend. This was Ryan's first time on the beach. I couldn't keep him out of the water, so I rolled up his pants and took off his shoes and socks. The water was cold. He did not mind the cold until he fell in it and got completely soaked. Katelyn is yelling, "I love the beach! Katelyn and Ryan are running away from the waves. They loved it. Ryan is touching the wet sand. Katelyn is playing in the sand. Swinging on the beach.

Saturday, August 16, 2008. A much needed update! Record heat in Portland! It has hit over 100 degrees for three days now, which is unheard of around here. Of course, it wouldn't be so bad but we don't have air conditioning. So right now I am sitting in my house and it is 83 degrees in here. It is so hot! Yesterday our house got up to 89, lets just say I have not been sleeping well at all and it doesn't help that I am pregnant! Halle enjoying a swim and a popsicle. Erick and Halle playing in the pool.

Saturday, August 16, 2008. We went on a road trip to Minnesota. Along the way we did some sight seeing. We stopped at Martin's Cove in Wyoming. This was apart of the Mormon trail. We are standing in front of this statue of men carrying people across the river. There are many amazing stories told of the pioneers. Here we are standing in front of Mount Rushmore. It's a fairy tale that we made true. I can't believe that I found you. Thursday, June 25, 2009. Ava is a hand full. So Effie has her hands full with Ava all day so she asked me who sits at a computer all day to add some new pictures to the blog. I hope people still check here. A lot has happened since the last post but instead of playing catch up I will just post some pictures of Ava and try to stay up to date in the future. Since she cannot walk yet this can get very tiresome after a few hours.

Kiyah came to visit Pat and I for the week and Silas and Mandi came up that weekend to see Kiyah and for Silas's birthday. It was so much fun it always makes me so sad when it is over. We went to the beach when Si and Mandi were up and I don't know if anyone has ever played Mario party on game cube but it is the best game ever! When is he going to stop growing? It's a fairy tale that we made true. I can't believe that I found you. Tuesday, July 28, 2009. Summer Time in Chicago. Ava loves Samson so much. Every time she sees him she smiles and laughs. When she is very upset we just show Samson to her and immediate she stops and starts trying to squirm her way to him. He is very good with her. He will lay and just let her pinch and pull at him.
