Perspective | Kentucky Olsens
https://kyolsens.wordpress.com/2009/09/20/perspective
Photos, garden, travel and life with a little white dog. God, give us grace to accept with serenity. The things that cannot be changed,. Courage to change the things. Which should be changed,. And the Wisdom to distinguish. The one from the other. Living one day at a time,. Enjoying one moment at a time. Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,. Taking, as Jesus did,. This sinful world as it is,. Not as we would have it,. Trusting that You will make all things right,. If we surrender to Your will,.

Photos, garden, travel and life with a little white dog. The sun is setting on a beautiful day in Northwest Haiti. It has been a whirlwind visit thus far. Marie Lourdes asked for prayer that God would provide a way for her to accomplish her dream. She has a twin sister, Marie Therese. Their mother died many years ago and they now live with their father, who is unemployed. They have eight other brothers and sisters. This entry was posted on April 8, 2010 by KYOlsens. Photos, garden, travel and life with a little white dog. Welcome home to me (actually last week). So good to be home, except for having to keep up with housecleaning again. I got a new haircut – thanks to Laura Braun at Euphoria Salon. She’s good! Pam, a coworker friend from the Mission, was kind enough to surprise me with an immersion blender she found at a Garage Sale. This may rank in the top of the “greatest kitchen gadgets” list. It’s AWESOME! I’ve already made an Asparagus Spinach soup (yum! This s...

Photos, garden, travel and life with a little white dog. Raindrops are falling on my head…or is that drywall? Last Saturday morning we were awoken at 3:30 am to a suspicious rumbling crash. Here’s what we found…. This is our stairwell in the kitchen. That's our ceiling and insulation on the floor. Andy with our hole.early in the morning. But so thankful for all the ways God protects us from what could have been. This entry was posted on August 9, 2009 by KYOlsens. It was filed under Other Fun. Curtis and...

http://striding.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 12, 2010. My parents and sister came to visit for a week, and we had a ton of fun! I only get to see them a couple times a year, and it's been a long time since my sister and I have been able to be in the same place at the same time, so it was really special to have all four of us in the same place for a time of exploration and fun. Here is a brief overview of our week:. My dad is in the rodeo! This is Multnomah Falls, which is often on calendars. Our next full day was spent at Silver Fall...

The ever-expanding cucumber vine. we have to work to keep up with these guys! Zucchini. these are MUCH bigger than the ones you buy at the store! Thanks again, Dad for helping me out! Last year I only got to go a couple of times because of my work schedule, and the days never looked as good as this! Tuesday, November 10, 2009. Around the same time our kids were in the local CornFest parade. Yes, I said Cornfest :). We moved away from the Iowa region, but ended up in an agricultural area. Rem...And since...
Embracing the Journey: July 2010
http://striding.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 17, 2010. Mark and I went on a hike toward Jefferson Park. A really beautiful area on the North/Northwest side of Mt. Jefferson. We hiked through there on the PCT, and are excited that there is a trail nearby that will allow us to access it. Everything you read about the hike we did says that the trail is open mid-July to October, so we knew May 17 was really. These weren't taken in the exact same spot, but they are in the same general area. And this was our reward! We had to cross Whitewa...

Photography enables me to experiment, explore, and look differently at the world around me. When viewing light in crisp compositions of color that abstract reality in motion, I connect with passion on film and freedom in the moment. All images in this gallery are true to the moment. They are created with available light and photographed on 35mm film (slides). They are not processed or cropped in any way. Burano, an island off the coast of Italy.
