Keith's Cobra Build: June 2014
http://www.keitht68.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
This is the diary of my Cobra build. and this is what I have now achieved. Classic Le Mans - Car Prep (3). Anyway, the new column was fitted and the car put onto the 4 Wheel Laser Alignment ramp. With updated settings from GD (the old ones suggested positive rear camber not negative! The car was set up as advised. Most of the other little jobs that needed doing before the Le Mans trip have now been completed too and were hoping to be blessed with good weather. Classic Le Mans 2014 - Vehicle Prep (2).

This is the diary of my Cobra build. and this is what I have now achieved. Track Day - Blyton. Blyton Track Day - 29th June 2013. When I received the email from GD at the start if the year suggesting a GD Track Day at the end of June I jumped at the chance. After all it was months away and my car would have been on the road for a while by the time it came around. How wrong could I have been? Unfortunately the joy was short-lived. The throttle was sticking as we hadn't got a proper return spring set-u...

BUILDING A GD 427.
Keith's Cobra Build: February 2014

This is the diary of my Cobra build. and this is what I have now achieved. The final major item required to finish my build is the fitting of the hood and tonneau cover. I took the car in my new race shuttle to Intertrim at Telford on Monday and was able to go and collect it yesterday. As the sun was shining, I couldn't resist driving the car back on trade plates and wow - what a satisfying feeling. Speedo and Tacho Swap. This is certainly something worthy of warning other builders about as it is impossi...
Keith's Cobra Build: August 2013
http://www.keitht68.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
This is the diary of my Cobra build. and this is what I have now achieved. With the doors having been adjusted for gaps, alignment and fit, it was time to trim them with the door cards. Had a read through a few other blogs to get a rough idea of the best way to fit and went with the following process. The door card is held in place by 7 clips and the door handle itself. Rear Number Plate Lamp. As I am nearing completion, this is one of the remaining wiring jobs to be sorted. This is mounted to the inner ...

Keith's 205 GTi Re-Build: Next Steps
http://keitht68gti.blogspot.com/2014/08/next-steps.html
Keith's 205 GTi Re-Build. I wanted one of these when I was in my early 20's but couldn't afford the insurance, so now I'm attempting to bring one back to it's former glory. Monday, 25 August 2014. Whilst the body is away its time to start planning the refurbishment of the interior and suspension. I plan to fully refurb or replace all main suspension components with subtle upgrades that will improve handling without detracting from the originality of the car too much. Keith's 205 GTi Re-Build. I wanted one of these when I was in my early 20's but couldn't afford the insurance, so now I'm attempting to bring one back to it's former glory. Sunday, 4 January 2015. Well Im afraid to report that following a recent trip to the Classic Car Show at the NEC before Christmas, Ive decided that the costs involved in bringing this old Pug back to a condition I would be proud of really don't justify any future return from selling the car. Monday, 25 August 2014. The front and rear ...
