Kelsey's European Excursion: To the coast, please!
http://kelseyseuropeanexcursion.blogspot.com/2010/07/to-coast-please.html
You cannot travel within and stand still without." -James Lane Allen. Friday, July 9, 2010. To the coast, please! Getting back on the Camino to Finisterre today felt really good; it was strange not to be out in nature for two days. I'm finding that I feel more at ease in the rural villiages than the big cities, too. Probably because it's less likely I'll get lost, ha! I guess I never really described what a pilgrim albergue is like, did I? July 10, 2010 at 8:17 AM. Almost to the coast!

Found her at the airport no problem (thank goodness.neither of us has a telephone, so that could have been interesting) and we hopped the metro back into the city center. . Since my jet-lagged mom needed a siesta (but only a short one! Day two inv...

You cannot travel within and stand still without." -James Lane Allen. Friday, July 9, 2010. Aka: the city of many reunions). After settling in and getting cleaned up, a bunch of us reunited to watch the Spain vs. Germany match at a bar in the city center. It was really neat, almost every person I befriended along the way showed up for a huge camino reunion love fest. The Germans I was with were quite disappointed in the final outcome, but my did the Spaniards go crazy! Lots of love from NW Spain,. Final ...

Or, "Adventure racing is like a treasure hunt where you bike, run, and paddle to find checkpoints." Or, "Have you ever seen the show 'Amazing Race'? For those of you who don't know...

Adventures in Sunday School. Fast forward 45 minutes till the end of class, 10 minutes at coffee hour then on to Greek dance practice with the same kids. After 2 hours of dance practice (and dozens of squats from the boys) silence is finally upon us. Now if only we had dance practice before Sunday School.

Kelsey's essays
Wednesday, February 16, 2011. The Control of Choices. Authors note: I had a lot of trouble writing this essay. Switching between three different prompts, the biggest problem I had was having what I wanted to say make sense. Light and dark, good and evil; these are opposites that need each other as support for existence. Our world is filled with opposites, choices, and paradoxes; they surround us and are part of our daily routine. In the novel Life of Pi. Having left the luxury of the island, Pi finally l...

Across the Pond and Then Some
Across the Pond and Then Some. My adventures.well, everywhere. My trip to the far north. Overall I was very impressed by how nice and hospitable everyone was (the license plates all bear the motto "Friendly Manitoba"), and the city's Old West feel was fun and appealing. Too bad the weather is a different story! The University of Manitoba. In the legislature building next to the provincial animal, the bison (pronounced bizon, if you want to sound like a local). Assiniboine Park, next to the Winnipeg Zoo.
Kelsey Sews
Thursday, October 10, 2013. Well after my unintentional 6 month hiatus - I'm back! We had such a busy summer that there was no time for blogging and not much time for sewing either! We went to Acadia National Park and The Great Smoky Mountain National park among other trips and had a fun filled summer. Hiked to the top of Mt LeConte! View from Chimney Tops. Now that fall is here things have become a bit less hectic so I should have more time to devote to sewing. Heal @ do.Good Stitches. Links to this post.
