Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared: December 2009

Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared. The tales of a perpetual procrastinator caught at a crossroads. Wednesday, December 30, 2009. A Reflection on 2009. Wow What a year. As I previously wrote, we are in the midst of moving. In two days the movers (yes, the movers, apparently we are fancy.or lazy.or overwhelmed by the prospect of moving five years worth of accumulation down three flights of stairs and up two, with a baby) will be here and they will take all of our stuff to Wallingford. Sometimes it has ...

Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared. The tales of a perpetual procrastinator caught at a crossroads. Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Holy crap. Babies can really suck the individuality out of a person. It seems to me that there is nothing more draining on a person than the demands of a new born child. The diapers and the nursing and the diapers and the nursing and the diapers and the nursing. There certainly isn't a ton of time for other pursuits. I also started and internship at the Vera Project. I am su...

Our Crazy Clan: Summer Fun
http://atsimms.blogspot.com/2010/07/summer-fun.html
Tuesday, July 6, 2010. We have been so busy this summer so far! Here are a few of our adventures. Back Yard Water Fights. The kids were swimming in the back yard at Grandma's house. Carson was relentlessly teasing his younger sister. Thomas came around the side of the house just in time to see Carson dump a whole bucket of water over Adi's head and then run away. Unfortunately for Carson, his dad is pretty quick on his feet and was able to catch him without too much trouble. For a couple of days Ragnar d...

Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared: June 2009
http://jessicaburg.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared. The tales of a perpetual procrastinator caught at a crossroads. Tuesday, June 23, 2009. The original intention on this blog was to have something to do instead of homework. Its summer break, so I have nothing to put off. I suppose I could blame it on the baby, but he goes to sleep at 7:30 and pretty much stays that way for eleven hours.I hope writing that didn't just jinx us! Anyway, I could easily blog once he goes to bed, but I just haven't. Links to this post.

Our Crazy Clan: Say What???
http://atsimms.blogspot.com/2010/08/say-what.html
Monday, August 30, 2010. So for those of you who haven't heard, we are expecting baby #5! We are thrilled but are constantly surprised by the reactions we get from others. Things you should never say to a woman who tells you she is pregnant with her fifth child (or any child for that matter! 1 I thought you looked pregnant. (In other words, you have been looking fat.). 2 It must have been an accident right? Believe it or not some people actually have/want kids on purpose.). 7 Are you crazy? August 31, 20...

Our Crazy Clan: Fall Happenings
http://atsimms.blogspot.com/2010/11/fall-happenings.html
Saturday, November 6, 2010. Fall is my FAVORITE time of year. Here are all the things we have been up to this fall. Having fun at the pumpkin patch. Davis LOVED picking up pumpkins and carrying them to the wagon. I think he carried 10 pumpkins to the cart before deciding which one he like the best. Davis kept saying, "I got it guys. I strong." I love the look on his face. Look at that grin! Carson and Bennett chose pumpkins as big as they are! HAIR CUTS AND CRAZY HAIR. I am getting so old! All Bennett wa...

Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared. The tales of a perpetual procrastinator caught at a crossroads. Friday, July 24, 2009. How can a person not be grateful for this beautiful face? We have such a wonderful little boy. I am working on being appreciative and expressing gratitude for the .what is the right word? If I were a religious person, I would call him a miracle, even a blessing. But I'm not. What would be the atheistic version of that word? Either way, Reed is fantastic. Links to this post.

Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared: And all of a sudden, two years had passed
http://jessicaburg.blogspot.com/2012/11/and-all-of-sudden-two-years-had-passed.html
Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared. The tales of a perpetual procrastinator caught at a crossroads. Sunday, November 18, 2012. And all of a sudden, two years had passed. That was at least five years away in the plan. So, finding myself completely unprepared for parenthood, I started this blog. Since then, I finished graduate school and raised that baby into a thriving toddler. Not bad for being unprepared for both. It's twins. What? I'm planning on using this blog to keep myself accountable on my new ...
